Unfortunately I would trust the second biopsy of the actual limb. The pre-op cytology only gets superficial cells and sarcoma cells all tend to look alike. I have never relied on the alkphos results; these were wrong even on my own dog. The needle biopsy was non-diagnostic because they missed the lesion or did not get enough bone which is also common. I probably would have done it too on such a young dog but on older dogs with bone lesions I typically just send the limb.

I am sorry; this cancer sucks.
