Hello Maximus and family
Your story is quite something and I know the thought of losing a second pup after losing one is especially scary. Glad you got help today.
Maximus's symptoms remind me of two (maybe three) dogs that showed up the exact same week earlier this year. I can't actually remember who they were and when they arrived (could this have been Cooper or at that time? - someone else is bound to remember). I think one had an infection and another one or two had problems from using the 'stump' that remained, so that kind of symptom would have been a bit later. From the photo, it kind of looks like Maximus still has his scapula - is that right?
Just wanted to mention those earlier posts in case they had something useful. I have a feeling Cooper was involved and will say something if it might be useful.
I hope Max feels better now.
Whisper (and her companion) is a real beauty!
I'm so sorry I missed this. I'm just heart broken that you lost Max. What a sad, sad loss.
My deepest condolences. But what a wonderful thing you did for him.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
