Thank you, Lori, and thank you for sharing this sweet pic as well. What a handsome guy....SB's are like giant teddy bears! I am really glad you posted this pic, now I hope everyone that visits this post will do the same, post at least one pic of their Tripawds as pups, or kitties (even though it is National Pup Day, Tripawd kitties are still required here), or any other sweet pup from your family!!
Keep them coming!!
Love to all........
Bonnie & Angel Polly
OMG Lori...your small is still bigger than my full grown!!! LOL
Loved baby Polly photos ... I can see why you were smitten! Look at that pretty face!!! Kissable!
Since Shelby was a rescue, her age was unknown (they tell you a year but I can tell you, I think closer to 6 months) but this is the best I have of her as a baby ... she looks basically the same but she's grown into her skin! That purple tongue hanging out! I think the reason I used to hold her so much was that she was a feisty one with an inclination to pull or dash off (which is probably how she landed in the shelter in the first place since she wasn't a surrender and her family didn't look for her but she was fully trained.
And Shelby's first trip to see Santa! She has that same expression now ...
Great idea!~ I saw all the puppies from the shelter on the puppy cam this a.m. on our morning news ... so tempted but I don't think I can handle two and since Shelby's been an only child her whole life, it wouldn't be fair to her!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Our Super Dog Hunter crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on a beautiful summer day in July, just 3 days shy of his 10th Birthday. He gave us everything since he was 8 weeks old. Hunter was a 14 month warrior of OS. We LOVE and MISS him every day.

Here is my sweet girl on the day I brought her home! <3
(November 2006)
In this first picture, I was slowly bringing the flower to her face while she sat motionless... and when it was almost about to touch her nose, she would lunge forward and snap at it. This was a game that we ended up playing with her toys even years later.
