Shelby is taking FULL advantage of Tripawd Day! She is almost 2 months post-amp (and almost 6 months post-hemangio diagnosis which means she is most likely, fingers crossed, going to surpass the initial diagnosis timeframe we were facing). I am so proud of her and how well she loves life and faces each day with new energy and a real zest for living. I learn so much from every single day!!! She is my light, my love, my baby girl!
Thank you Tripawds nation for being the best support system out there! We are definitely in our honeymoon/happy phase right now, but I love how we all rally for those that are scared, alone and facing significant health challenges ... we are a family. I love you all! I wish I could meet you all and give you a BIG hug!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I'm so happy for both of you! It's so great to hear that she's back to playing and loving life. Keep having fun, Shelby!

Awww, that's a beautiful sight. She looks like a perfectly healthy, never been sick playful pup. I am so happy for you both, I think this means good things for Miss Shelby's future! Yay, congratulations!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
That's TOO cute! Look at that GINORMOUS toy box! Lucky girl. I saw her tail whipping around like she was gonna take off. YEY! Great news!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Look out everyone, Shelby shines brighter than all the stars in Hollywood!

Thank you all!!! @ Sally - the only 'work' she might have had done was the losing of the whiskers!!! This started up again last night so I put all electronics down and focused on what she wanted ... which was play time!
Since I think we all need a little joy today and it is "Fat Tuesday" and Shelby is from New Orleans ... I present to you - The Krewe of Barkus 2002. The theme was "Elvis" & "Graceland". Shelby was a blue suede shoe (and yes, she was spray painted). *she hated those booties ...

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
