Okay, when I first saw these results I wasn't sure what to think, but once I did some research on each of the breeds I thought okay maybe smiley  However, I am still seriously thinking about sending in a second sample under a different name to see what they come up with because I have owned BC's for 19 years and have lived with Roxy for over a year now and she definitely has BC traits as well as retriever traits...LOL

Pet wellness is perhaps the most important part of canine ownership

Acquiring genetic breed heritage knowledge will help educate you about your dog and his or her special health and behaviour traits. You can now be proactive about many of the important factors affecting your dog’s life.

What your dog’s breed composition means

Level 1
This category will only report when a dog's DNA contains a majority of a specific breed (75% or greater). Most mixed breed dogs will not usually have a breed in this category unless one or both of their parents are purebred.

Level 2
This category reports breeds that are easily recognizable within your dog. While these breeds may have a strong influence on your dog, each breed listed makes up less than the majority of your dog's DNA, between 37%-74%. This can mean that one of the parents was a purebred.

Level 3
This category identifies breeds that have between 20%-36% of the listed breed(s). Although still recognizable, a breed at this level indicates a mix and is often carried down from the parents of your dog’s parents.

Level 4
This category represents 10%-20% of the breed DNA, usually carried over from previous generations in your dog’s ancestry. Although it is a smaller representation of your dog’s DNA make-up it is often still recognizable.

Level 5
This level represents the lowest level of breed found in your dog, occurring at 9% or less. Although not always physically apparent, it still appears at a low and measurable amount in your dog's DNA.

How fun!  I have always wanted to do one of those for Daisy.  I'm sure what I think she is and what a DNA test would say she is would be totally different.  Which test did you do?  I met a couple at the dog park and they did the Wisdom Panel.  The results were exactly what they thought their dog's mix was.

Oh what a hoot! These tests are always so fun, you just never know what will turn up. I've heard others were completely surprised with their results too. What company did you use?
