Oh, and you will probably cry, but you could probably guess that from the topic title.
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
Yup, I cried 🙂 I also wanted to smack that vet on the head when he said she'd PROBABLY be able to walk just fine on three legs-- obviously he's never met any of our dogs who run like the wind on three legs 🙂
Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
powerful story!!!!
charon & spirit gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
What a wonderful dog! I am so glad that she is a pitbull, we need good stories in the news about them. I hope that the owner wasn't passed out from drinking, can you imagine the guilt from that. If she hasn't quit her liquor consumption and her dog paid the price it would be truly heartbreaking for her.
Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the right front leg 8/23/10,
leg fractured 8/27/10,
leg amputated 8/30/10

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
My Momma cried. Not just because this girl Pittie is such a hero, but because she has the same froggy toy that I have, which my folks still have. Tripawds rule.

What a brave dog! It sounds like the son will do whatever he can to make that dog's quality of life a priority — and rightly so.
Smilin' Sammy, March 16, 2004 – Dec. 5, 2011
Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
