OMG so funny, he lifted the limb to pee, like he use to. He always lifted his left leg, so now he's lifting the remaining of that leg??? So weird and so amazing to see. Thank god he can do that, because he was peeing all over his front paw since the surgery LOLOL Im so sorry that I didn't have my camera!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
No but seriously, never tough he would be able to that, but the limb seem very active and useful! wow, we learn so many thing with amputation!

Yep, Otis figured it out too (and he is a front legged, so it is a real balancing act). He started by leaning up against the house (ok, that means he was peeing on the house), and has graduated to trees, utility poles, etc. He had become a pro at turning so he is amp side to the tree, leaning slightly against it, and doing his thing. I guess boys will be boys.😎

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016. Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016. Lung mets August 25, 2016. Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016. Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.
Wherever they are, they are together.
Ok, another thing happen, unexpected.. Novak tried to lift his right leg to pee, but he doesnt have a left leg anymore, so he made a bit of a step. It was funny, I was at the clinic with all my team watching him walk outside and we were amaze. He didnt fall or anything, so everything was ok... but man it was funny. Better to laugh than to cry about it!
