From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
Pretty cool, Uncle Dakota!
That's a tiny little peanut!
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
OOooooooohhhhh! Sweetest baby pic ever! Congratulations Dakota and family, what an awesome pack you are to welcome this little bi-pawd into the world. We are hoppy for all of you! What's her name?

Abby's mom hit the name nail right on the head, probably because she saw this on Facebook! Tonight the baby is Peanut, named by the doctor when the tiny little thing was first seen. Her parents have been arguing about her name for months and continue pondering tonight. They thought they had her named until they say her and decided she didn't look like the name. I'm staying out of it.
Peanut was born 3 weeks early but surprised everyone by being bigger than anticipated (5 lb, 11 oz) and having no problems at all. Her lungs and vocal cords are fully functional. I was privileged to be with her parents when she was born and got to listen to the colorful and spicy language her mother is capable of (completely natural and rather fast labor).
As of 8:00 when we left the hospital, Peanut had not peed or pooped so no potty dance yet!

Tell Peanut that it's Poopapalooza around here and she needs to join in!
That's great that she's having no problems. You are a wise grandma to stay out of the naming discussion!

Congrats Uncle Dakota!
Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.
