Ohhhh how beauuuuuuutiful. Thank you everyone for sharing these lovely photos and thoughts, you really warmed my heart tonight. Been trying to get here all weekend but it's been so crazy with family and then a huge computer issue today. But I just want to stay that you ALL make this community such a special, one-of-a-kind place in the universe. The love and compassion everyone shares with each other is beyond anything Admin or I ever could have imagined. We are truly blessed to have so many beautiful people and animals, past and present, in our life. Thank you so much. May the new year bring your pack much love, hope, joy and adventure. XOXO

Penny, I have had a few friends lose their horses of similar years and it is such a deep loss. Horses are special creatures and the bond of so many years, well that is incredible. Sorry for your loss. He was so handsome and festive in his Santa hat.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
I'm late to the pawty as usual but wanted to say that I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and that 2017 is a good year for us all!
