Hi everyone, in doing my research for my business plan, I realized that in all of the websites for dedicated dog photographers that Tripawds were never seen in the photos.  I decided to add Tripawds to my target business base ('cause I think they are amazing and why should they be left out?).

The name I've chosen for my business is:

Four Paws (*Or Fewer) Pet Photography

I would like know if anyone would be offended by the name, should I be using the term Tripawds in the title? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for joining and requesting feedback on your company naming project. Sounds fun. We'd love to see some examples of your work. Got a website?

exclamation Please note that TRIPAWD/s is a registered trademark and cannot be used for commercial purposes without a written agreement from Agreda Communications. (That's us!) Please feel free to contact us directly if you do wish to use the term "Tripawds" in your business name or any of your product offerings and we can discuss the possibility of a licensing agreement. FYI: The Tripawds slogan "It's better to hop on three legs than limp on four." is also our registered service mark.

Four Paws (*Or Fewer) Pet Photography

Regarding your name selection, it has a nice ring to it and we doubt any Tripawd lover would be offended. Looking forward to hearing more feedback from others.

Shorter alternatives to consider:

  • Few Paws Pet Photography
  • Paws Pet Photography
  • Pet Paws Photography

I like the alliteration of Four Paws or Fewer Pet photography.  It is a bit of a mouthful and I like Pet Paws, too.  Be prepared to get birds and snakes but thankfully no tarantulas.  oh-my

Personally, I like your avatar name pawprints best. The others seem too wordy.

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

Thanks for all the feedback, I agree the name I've chosen is a bit wordy, but every single combination/permutation of paws/fur/dog/canine is already copywrite protected so I am working with what I have to.

Thank you for the feedback on the Tripawds copyright, my website is still under construction, but I'll try to post some photos from some photo shots in the near future to give you an idea of my skills.

Another thing to consider is posting your Company Naming Project on CrowdSpring.

Thanks for the ideas, will check them out.

I'm located in Kingston, Ontario, so can travel to Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal easily.

I spend the winters in the Florida Keys.  At this point in time, my understanding is that it is easier to get a VISA to be a plumber than it is to get a VISA to be a photographer in the US, so I hope some day to be able to sort this out to work south of the 49th parallel.

Pawsome (Pawesome?) Pet Photography?

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/

Hi Everyone, just a short note, I checked out all the suggestions that were given but they were already copywritten. I have gone ahead and chosen the name "Photograpy Four Paws".......a play on the word "for" and then on the website will go on to talk about dogs with 3 paws, service dogs, etc.

I have a MAC so my images don't have the links to show them here, and since I have 3 new assignments, 1 of which would be a charitable fundraiser for a large service dog training organization where I would photograph upwards of 50 families, I'm quite excited. I'm also under the gun because another assignment where I would fill in for another photographer at a large event is only a week away. I'm constructing my website and getting all the nuts and bolts in place.

I'll touch base once my website is live and then I can share photos of some of the events that I'm doing right now. Thank you for all your help, I look forward to meeting some of the Tripawds and their families in the future, with my camera of course!
