MEET TRISTAN
My name is Gail McCensky and I am reaching out to you for support. I have entered the following photo of Tristan, our 8 year old lab/pit mix in the Orvis Cover Dog photo contest.
He was diagnosed with osteosarcoma last June. He underwent a front limb amputation and 5 rounds of chemo all with a wagging tail. To date, he is super silly and super happy, Loving Life on 3 Legs .
While I think it would be awesome to have a Tripawd on the cover, more importantly, all votes (donations) benefit the Morris Animal Foundation and Canine Cancer Research. We are all well aware of the current treatment options. They are expensive, fraught with side effects, and far from foolproof in offering a cure. We need concrete research to guide our protocols and improve outcomes. Hence, I am impassioned about any organization that shares these objectives. I am hopeful their efforts will make the prognosis not so grim in the future.

While he certainly isn’t your prototype “Orvis Dog”, they have a popular vote winner. Imagine if an editor notices a particular entry amassing a lot of donations.. . Investigates . . . Discovers Tristan and our Tripawd Nation… Realizes how special we, our pets, and our organization is . . .
Perhaps they will be bold enough to create a feature piece on us in their catalog . . . ORVIS SPORTING DOG TRIPAWD WARRIORS. How cool would that be!

Okay, I hopped over to the link in your post Gail. Tristan's adorable licture showed up. I'll be darn if I could fi d anything to click o to that said I coukd vote for him!! Ow, keep in mind, you are dealing with THE least computer knowledge lerson o n the plant...and I ha e a tavlet, so I dont know if that matters. I'm sure it's right there inplain view, but I couldn't findnit!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

THANKS. Please keep trying. Maybe start with google; orvis cover dog contest. Click view entries and vote. Type tristan in search portal. Click on his picture, then click on vote. Understand the lack of computer skills. I struggle as well but please do not give up. Let's make a difference!

Thank you! While I do so hate to ask people for their hard earned dollars, if only half of our Tripawd Nation would each contribute just a few bucks, we could potentially make a difference! You may even find his story on a Tripawd Tuesday as I am so commited to this cause .
