Hi Tripawds friends!  It's been a fun busy summer but I wanted to pop in and share that Mighty Atlas is doing great.  I can't believe it's been 15 months!  We had a little friend visit the other day and I remembered at the end of the play date to get some video.  So Atlas is pretty tuckered out by the time mommy remembered but it still makes me laugh every time I watch it.  Especially when Sophie gets the zoomies.

That little Penny is quite the character.  I love hearing her and Atlas talk to each other, just tickles me to no end.  At about the 28 second mark, you can hear Atlas do that wretch gag thing.  But Dr. W found nothing when he scoped his throat so I'm not going to dwell on it.

Atlas & Sophie on squirrel watch!  You can see a touch of the wobblers in his hind end, but he still gets around great.

HAPPY SUMMER!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Warms my heart!  Atlas, you're looking awesome!!!!  I love his gait - he's like a prancing pony! So graceful and elegant.  Thanks for updating us and sharing the fun you've been having.  Puppies can be great!  WAHOO!

~ Katy & Jackson

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

So great to see Mighty Atlas!

He does OK for a pup that wasn't a good candidate for amputation big-grin.

Love the puppy- and Sophie getting zoomies!

Good boy Atlas!  Keep up the good fight.

Amy & Spirit Libby

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

Thanks so much everyone. You know, I just have to tell you all, I didn't realize just how much you all mean to me. Tears welled up in my eyes as I read all your comments and it hit me, that when you go through something so difficult as your baby being diagnosed with cancer and having to face amputation of a limb, I formed such a bond to you all while pouring out my heart and soul and asking for advice and support as we went through this.....I'm sure you all understand just as only you could.... It's very special to have friends who "get it" and are always there to lend support. I just wanted to say thank you. And Jim and Rene I have so much gratitude for what you do and how much you help folks.

Sally, I just checked out Merry Myrtle pics - talk about cuteness overload! Good girl Happy Hannah, you picked a good one for your momma!
