It's been a while since I've been here. Been so busy trying to get settled into a new house and everything life has to throw at me.

I'm taking my older cat, Happy , to the vet today, for an ultrasound for suspected lymphoma. She's 13. So not young, but not ancient either.  She's my husband's baby.  We have another girl cat who had the same, but has been doing well, with no signs of the tumor growing back.  We chose no medication for her.  And I'm considering the same for happy. If that's what this is.  I honestly don't know if I have it in me do the full out treatment like I did with Chuck.  Honestly, I'm exhausted from the chaos life keeps throwing at us.  Even when the vet said what he thought it could be I  could tell he was bracing himself for my reaction, but I'm so numb to these situations now, I couldn't even react.  It's like I almost expect worse case scenario news now.

So if you could, say a little prayer that whatever this is, that it's manageable at the very least.

Oh my dear sweet Lori, so sorry to hear this is happening. There's nothing "fair" about thisnpiece of crap disease, but when it happens again in the same pack, that's just rotten beyond words.

I have to admit, you gave me a little chuckle though when you said you could see your vet "brace himself" for your reaction. I'm sure his thought bubble was "Holy cow, how the heck do I tell her this AGAIN?"

I love her name btw!

But you know what, considering the circumstances, you have every reason to be optimistic! You're other kitty is doing great and Happy will too!

One thing you might check out is mushroom therapy. I'm not sure if it's the same for cats as it is for dogs, but I think it has shown tumor reducing qualities. Again, not sure if it works for cats, but PIROXICAM is a pill that has shown reducing qualities.

Okay, we know you have a whole lot on your plate. We'll let you slip by this one time without posting pictures...just this one time! On second thought, heck no! We MUST see pictures of ALL your pack! It's been too long!!

Hang in there sweet Lori. You are one strong woman! We are all right by your side ALWAYS!! And ST. CHUCK is watching over everyone!

Sending lots and lots of love!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Lori, you and Happy and the entire pack is surrounded by all the love you can ever imagine. I hope she has much, much more time with you. You know better than anyone else that if what you decide for her is done with love, it is the only right decision. Only you know her best.

From all of the rough times you've had lately, and I am so sorry for all of them, I can tell you are acquiring the tools in life that will help you be stronger and more courageous than you ever thought possible.

Lori, I just had a tumor removed from my 13 year old cat. Biopsy came back Nonskelatal Osteosarcoma. Seems to be rare, imagine that. I, so far have done nothing except change her to a grain free diet. We are 2 months out and she is back to her old self, although I am told it will most likely come back. I too, did not have it in me to go through it all again. That combined with her age, her phobia of vets and my husband's  saying " No more" and my decision was somehow made. I agree with Sally, pictures! I am sorry you are facing this for the 3rd time. cancer stinks, big time! Lori, Ty & gang

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Omgosh  Lori. .I'm so sorry about your kitty! I'm glad she's holding on well though! As for our girl .we got some sorta good news yesterday.  Ultrasound showed what they thought was a large mass to be her very enlarged kidney. The other kidney had atrophied to the point where he couldn't feel it on exam, causing him to think there was a mass there. So...no obvious cancer. But now we wait for a specialist to review everything and weigh in on what caused her kidney to get so big.  Her kidney values are only mildly elevated.  So we'll see.  I'll take the "no obvious cancer" for now. 🙂  Lori, hang in there!
