Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Mom took granny and grandpa back home and on the way back to Rita's we passed Terreiro do Paco, one of the main Lisbon squares, right on the river front ...
Of course Mom couldn't resist to stop for a few pictures and to meet new people ... and obviously I was all for it

Well folks, Mom has a HUGE confession to make ...
She broke the law tonight ...
It is totally forbidden to stop the car near this square, the area being pedestrian ...
But Mom HAD to stop and take pictures with me, right ?
So she banged the car off the main road but right in the square area, got the emergency lights on, breathed in and off we went for a quick whizz ...
Thing is there is never a quick whizz with me ... too many new friends to make and too many cuddles to be shared at all times ...
So when we finally made it back to the car this policeman was there waiting for Mom and more than ready to give her a (well deserved) fine and a big (and also well deserved) lecture ...
It turned out Mom explained she could not resist to jump out to take some lovely pictures with me by the Christmas tree and then of course everybody wanted to cuddled me ... and how could Mom say no ??? .... hence we took slightly longer than expected but she apologised profusely etc etc ...
Mom also pointed out my legless condition which he had not noticed but by the time she mentioned that he had already fallen under my charm
So not only the fine and lecture did not materialise as initially planned but also he, Mom and myself happily chatted for almost one hour about life, dawgs and cats, love, poetry, politics, History, travels, family and more ...
Also, his wife's name is Teresa, just like Mom's, and his name is Miguel, just like Mom's wonderful ex husband 
and he has one little daughter and one little dawg whom he adores
He is going to follow our trip on tripawds and will pass the tripawds message on at the police department he works for (they also train dawgs there to be diabetics aid dawgs who can identify any drop of sugar levels in their pawrent's blood and raise the alarm immediately )
We ARE friends for life now
