I know Mom was a bit sad too because she didn't talk to me for quite a while and kept listening to the music and driving on ...

But then I remembered when earlier today I took Mom for a walk holding the lead in my mouth ...
and how she laughed out loud and hugged me in the end ...
and told me how much she loved me

with the warmth of this memory, my sad feelings turned into pawsitive ones ...
things could only get better ... and they did ...

Let me explain what happened next ...
Mom was so pressed for a pee she said she would take the very first opportunity to stop ...
Well, the very first opportunity was this place by the motorway toll, Mom wasn't even sure there was a toilet there but she went for it anyway ...

I'm sure Mom felt much lighter afterwards 
I went for a little hop behind the building and then took a few minutes to observe the cars and the people inside ...
they all looked quite surprised to find me there like a proper police dawg patrolling the road ...

As Mom and I went back to the car we saw this other car approaching us and to our total amazement guess who was inside ????
Peter and Char who had dinner with us not long ago, remember ?
We had no idea when they were leaving the South of France and they had no idea when we were leaving Switzerland ...
Nor did we know we would follow the same road ...
Completely by change Char saw me just before they paid the motorway toll so they pulled over to see us ...
Mom was so stunned by this coincidence she wouldn't stop saying she couldn't believe this was happening ...
She said it would be unbelievable to meet at a petrol station but to meet at such an unusual place was just incredible ...
All it would have taken would be a few seconds difference and Char wouldn't have seen me so they would have driven through ...

So they reversed back to the motorway and off they went to the UK ...

I made some new friends and one of them said I was a "boule d'amour" which is such a loving thing to say ...

She totally adores the old town of Troyes, it is considered the most beautiful medieval town in the Champagne area ...
