Elly passed her Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test tonight!

There are 10 items on the CGC that you have to pass to demonstrate your dog is well behaved, here is a list of the test items if you are not familiar with CGC.

I can't believe how far she has come! When I got Elly just about 2 years ago (10/17 is her adopt-a-versary day) she was skittish and slow to trust, she would not let strangers touch her, she hid behind me whenever people were around.  Loud noises would make her bolt, she was unpredictable and reactive around dogs, she wouldn't let me out of her sight without throwing a fit.

We still have a ways to go, one of the goals I had when I adopted Elly was to train her as a therapy dog.  We may or may not get there, but our journey so far has been fun and rewarding!

I'm not at all surprised Karen your such great trainer and Elly is so lucky to be adopted by you!! I know she had her PTSD but look how far she has come! Wow! Good job to your both! It does take 2! I believe you both will get to whatever goal you set your minds too when there is the will there is a wayclap You have proven that tenfold with Elly!

BRAVO Karen! When you set your mind on something you do it and look at how much it's helped her, that's wonderful!

Having met her, I'm thrilled that the "Accepting a friendly stranger" is something she conquered, she was so shy when we met. Could have been Wyatt Ray being nearby of course!

Give her some extra special lovin' from all of us, we are so proud superstar
