Nooooooooooooooo! Gophers B I T E!!! And hang on like crabs. And soon...you will mesmerized like Bill Murray in Caddyshack! Noooooooooooooo! (And Ruby Roo has a few choice words for this...) Wouldn't it be better to use those digging skills for Search and Rescue?!?! Can't we all PawAlong?!?!
WOW... that is amazing! I've never seen one come up before (probably because both my girls are and were always nose deep in that hole). That is so cool!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Gophers?? Critters??? HA! This is what Frankie "monitors" ...And it "ain't no" baby gopher! 🙂 🙂
Gopher monitoring by Frankie???:
Hmmm...not exactly a Gopher:
I've actually been watching Mom Buzzard and her hubby for a few weeks now as they picked out their "nursery". She finally laid jer eggs sometime durinv the night or early morning. Look at the size of those eggs! Owwweee! Can't wait for birthday. Looks like I'll have to start a thread!!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Awww Sally!!! Yes, you must start a Buzzard Baby thread. That is one beautiful momma. Do you think it's called a Black Vulture?
Is see the Cornell Lab of Ornithology has no Black Vulture video. Maybe they would like yours with your sweet, loving voice? https://www.all.....ure/videos
Mister Frankie, you are so handsome and a wonderful monitor of wildlife. Do you think you'll be able to give the buzzard family some peace and quiet while they nest, hatch and feed their young?
What fun!
Kerren and the Katz
Yeah, she's a very pretty Black Vulture!
Mr Frankie needs to be "more Elly" and just be quiet (good luck with that) and observe! Until he learns how to be a properly behaved Monitor he'll have to use another area.

I just love Elly's concentration, her fascination with the gopher. Even when she digs, it doesn't seem she wants to catch it so much as she doesn't want it to go back down the hole. She's like 'Come Back! Come back, I was enjoying that.'
Sally, the buzzard video is just amazing. What lucky birds to find your home to nest in. And doesn't it feel like a wonderful privilege to have been chosen! I know that's how I feel when birds nest in the garden. Just blackbirds in my case, and robins and so on, but I know I always feel so honoured.
