Theo has not sent along his chosen fur baby yet (and I've decided that I'm definitely not ready either), but I thought we needed SOME kind of companion in the house, and I went to PetSmart yesterday just to walk around and look at animals...almost chose a guinea pig 
but instead I went low, low maintenance. So please welcome the newest member of our family...Millard the Crown Tailed Betta Fish! I haven't had a betta in YEARS, but I think he has some Theo spirit in him...particularly in regards to food! I have him some yummy treats, and he didn't even want them! I don't think I ever shared this but Theo was a very, very picky eater. Treats just weren't his thing, he was a silly boy!
Sooooooo......I see the thread title.....get jump up and down exited....Theo sent a pup! Cannot wait to see him!!!
Well now....never assume the obvious from Snsggletooth Theo!!!
Millard, you have jus won the lottery kiddo!! You jave a beautiful little apartment,,,love your garden!! You are a very handsome boy!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Wow...not what I was expecting but I guess our Angels send us other creatures in all shapes and sizes. I'm currently at work so I can't see the pic you posted of Millard but I'm sure he's just handsome...Betas are very pretty in their coloring.
Don't you have to keep them separated from other fish because they attack others? I thought I had heard that many, many years ago when we had fish growing up. I don't think they play nice with others in the same bowl.
I'm sure you'll figure out something Millard would like to eat.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
And in other news, whether we were ready or not, we'll be adding a 2 year old miniature dachshund to our family over Thanksgiving. My mom is moving overseas and is only comfortable taking one of her pups with her. I don't completely agree with her decision, but he is a super sweet tiny little boy, and we will happily welcome him into our home and give him lots of love!
WOOF!!!! WOOF!!!!!! Now.....I mean....fish are great....but you can't exactly putthem on your lap and snuggle with them and let them lock your dishes clean!! Then again, you don't have to worry about stepping in their poop!
Dachshunds are such bright and fun dogs!! This will be a blast. HOWEVER.....I'm thinking Theo has something else up his sleeve. He knows this pup will be lonely for his other friend (feel sorry for that pup too...he'll be missing his friend).....just saying.....maybe we have a little test from Theo going on over here!!

Sally- I know! When I found this picture again, I said to myself now this really reminds me of my Snaggle Angel waiting patiently for us at The Bridge! Here's a pic of our furry friend, and he's SUPER needy so I'm sure he'll want a buddy.
Love this!!! A betta and a pup, hooray!!!!!! Congrats.....there is not a creature too big, too small, too furry, feathery or scaly that doesn't need love. My work office adopted a betta fish a couple of weeks ago (and hatched a bunch of sea monkey's). They are our new "water cooler" and its amazing what impact even such little creatures can have on people
