Holy cr@p on a saltine (thank you Pam)... can anyone believe how much this dog actually (dare I say it) "loves" the beach? I cannot believe how far she has come and continues to come ... I truly believe that Shelby is mentoring her from above and reminding her to enjoy and love her life at the coast ...
they say a picture is worth a thousand words so here ya go... we've been taking nightly beach / sunset walks to "find our zen" and remember that good things do exist in the universe - especially nature. Jasper actually "prances" down the path to the beach and just has NO fear - just joy! I am SOOOOO proud of her!
File this under - that grin is just creepy! She looks like the Joker in Batman. I adore her but she doesn't seem to really know how to smile normally. 🙂

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.

Yes, I remember very well how Jasper was afraid of the beach and how upsetting that was to you...to you both! But you two worked itmout...just like you have every hurdle than has shown up in this bond. Yet another metaphor for your life as you and Jasper continue to overcome any challenges thrown you way TOGETHER! You stayed the course with Jasper Lily becausenyou trusted Shelby would send you who you needed...who you both needed! Good job everybody!
The pictures...the videos...beautiful on so many levels. The two of you together...both so happy...so enjoying being together...melting my heart over here!!
I do have a question for you though...oh yes I do! You want Jasper Lily to smile normally....! NORMALLY? And a dog smiling "normally" would look like..........??????
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
How fun. You both have come so far 🙂 You still need to get that long leash to let her test her wings on the beach. 🙂
I love all these videos and the pictures they all just make me smile especially knowing how far you have come from not being sure that you were going to keep her to her traveling with you and now loving the beach. So so awesome

05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.
"You aren't doing it TO her, you are doing it FOR her. Give her a chance at life."
That is a summer of FUN!
I love all of her smiles, it's so unique just like her. She's definitely showing you how much she loves her beach life!
