Even though I was concerned about her skittishness and irrational fear of "air" (literally - she looks to the sky and is spooked) 'dumbo ears' passed two evaluations today. The first one was over 2 hours and involved a lot of introducing and playing. I went shopping while she did that. The second one was about 20 minutes and involved more meet and greet. Both are great facilities and will offer a place for Jasper to go maybe one day a week (it's all we can afford) so she can get some socialization and play time!
I was so happy to see - at the first place - a super large Tripawd playing like the best of them!!! I told them I had had a tripawd and they were the best dogs. This one lost the leg as a pup and was doing great! Happy happy!!!
SO next week, Jasper will be going to The Loved Dog (in LA)... apparently fancy LA celebrities have their dogs trained by the lady that runs this place. All I know is that they were very loving to both of us and didn't mind that Jasper tinkled when I went to pick her up (that darn submissive pee thing).
As for tonight ... I have a super sleepy pooch.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Yay, Jasper!! She is coming along fine!! Wow, 2 day care evaluations.......and this will be so great for her socialization skills. Seeing a Tripawd was an extra bonus today!
I know Jasper will do so well, and have a fabulous time at puppy day care.

Thanks Bonnie! I figured she would pass... Shelby passed and she did the "shiba scream" after I left!

Yay for Jasper that is so so awesome. I am glad she is doing so well.
OH going to a fancy smancy doggy day care where all the stars go. Make sure she gets some pawgraphs (hahah I crack myself up) LOL.

SOOOOOOOOOO. CUTE!!! I just want to jumo throught the screen and kiss that sweet face! SO. SWEET! And so content Alison...that's the best part!
I think it's a great idea to give her the opportunity to play with other dogs. Yeah,she may pee from excitement when you come to pick her up the first few times I her mind, the daycare may remind her if a shelter until she learns better!
And to see a tripawd.....good omen!

And LOL Michelle! The place doesn't look uuber fancy but the list of clients ... oy! Just another day in the life of an LA dog! Jasperita doesn't know how lucky she is to be in the big city now!
She slept through the night - solid - and walked, ate, and is sound asleep now. And that was only 3 hours of day care. This is going to be fantastic.
I do wonder if she can't put those ears down... I have seen them go to the side when she's concerned about something but for the most part, they stick upright. It's pretty funny to walk past the couch (where she has taken up residence for the day) and see nothing but ears up. LOL
