SHE DID IT!!! She passed with flying colors and I am sure for the fee, they pass everyone but she really did pass. She sat when she was supposed to sit and she stayed ... a long time. We have been working SO hard on that.

I am SO proud of this dog!!! Her breed (kelpie mix) makes her smart but it's how we work together that really shows that she listens and learns.

Side note - Shelby also passed obedience training but only because she showed up the last day. That girl would never sit when I asked OR stay or come. Smart but strong-willed.laughing

Jasper has come so far in the two years we have lived together .. she is still scared of many things but she is also way more confident. She watches me for cues. We are going to do training level 2 and then go for our Canine Good Citizen. That will be her biggest challenge and I can't wait to work with her.

And we still want to work on tricks and agility. I think she will do great at both.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

The is the cutest darn willful face I ever did see!  And I do think she looks just a little bit proud!

Way to go Alison and Jasper Lily!!

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

OOOOOOOMMMMMMMDDDDDDD!!! CUTEST PICTURE EVVVVVER!!!

I agree! She looks so proud...maybe just a touch bit cocky!! She's telling all the dogs she ran the street with, "Yeah, look at me now! Can't touch this!!"

You two are a spectacular team! You've overcome a rough beginning, stayed the course and trusted Shelby' s choice! I love that you and Jasper Lily have carved out your own relationship with your own path. You are creating your own memories to add to the treasure trove of memories you shared with Shelby.

CONGRATULATIONS JASPER LILY AND ALISON!!! We are so proud, so very proud!! Can't wait to celebrate your upcoming accomplishments in all the categories you mentioned...and then some!!

Of course more pictures and video would be nice!

Lots of love!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Thank you all!!! She does indeed look quite pleased and proud of herself doesn't she? She still makes questionable choices but I am happy to say they are FAR less than what shelby did ... Oh Shelby... how I loved you but did not love your constant digging your nose in my trash! 🙂

Here's a video of Jasper working on her 'stay'. This was one of the hardest ones for her since she knew I had treats. My apt is super tiny but I was able to get a fair distance from her.

Her trainer said that when we were doing this in the store, Jasper started counting / keeping tract of my steps since I would always move about 2 -4 steps and then call her so she was moving on her own. Smart little dog that one! 🙂

Oh sweet, sweet, adorable JASPER LILY!!! You ARE one smart cookie, that's for sure!!!

As usual, seeing a video or pnoto kf you makes my day! I'm sittw here saying "good girl" right alo g with yiur mom!! You ARE a very good girl!!

I love, love, love how you are counting your Mom's steps! I know "heritage", your "breed" is somewhat of a question arkquestionquestionquestion Pretty sure there is no lo ger a question.....Jaaper Lily is a GENIUS breed!!!

It always tickles me when your Mom interjects some little naughty nuance that Shelby woukd do.way-cool As you know, once our dogs become Angels, they take on a persona of Sainthood perfection that rivals Mother Teresa!

Next we want to see you keeping that little booty in the "stay position" when a squirrel comes meandering by!!

Lots of love!
