It took me quite awhile before I changed my signature at all. Just didn't want to acknowledge that Happy Hannah had gone to the Bridge. I finally decided on "Alumni". 'It wasn't too "transitiony" and made it feel more "earth based". I also decided on "My Chunky Spiritual Being" as it gave me a smile and that's what she is...and she always made me smile! 🙂 I use that signature when one of our heroes transitions. It's just a silent way of reminding myself that Happy Hannah will be there to greet new members, along with all the others. And you better believe she was there to greet your Chubby Cherub Royal Fatness with a wheelbarrow full of every kind of Izzy's favorite food!!! 🙂
Like everyone at the Virginia Pawty, one of the highlights was meeting Pretty-in-Pink Izzy 🙂 She really was enjoying every single second of everyone adoring her!! 🙂 I think being surrounded by all that love and admiration may even have been what helped to extend her earth time even a little longer 🙂

Ha! Sally! You beat me here!! I was going to comment on the chubby cherub because it gave me the first good laugh in a while and put some rather interesting pictures in my head 😂♥️

Osteo and amputation in Dec 2015. Second, inoperable, primary osteosarcoma found in June 2017.
The end of our adventures came Dec 10, 2017. 2 years to the day.

Well, I'm certainly glad you are enjoying. I've not settled on just how to include Izzy yet and figured since I had so many nicknames for her, why not just jot down whatever strikes me at the moment?
I'm missing Izzy an awful lot but I was talking about her today at lunch - Reed and I went out for a.bite to eat - and she let me know that she heard me 💕
Tonight, I faced the bittersweet task of writing thank you notes to her doctors. I've been baking some treats for them and made these chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter filling. I think I'll call them Izzy's Angel kisses ...
I had these cupcake picks made for them, so I'll add them later, just before delivery.
And last but surely not least, I dug up this video from last November as proof of just how my big girl got so, well, big! I took this moments after she finished her dinner:
Hopefully, those all worked. I'll try to check from my laptop but hope you can see!

Momma to the world's most beautiful American Bulldog, Izzy!! Lost her front leg to OSA 9/18/15. Diagnosed w MCT in June 2016. Celebrated her 1 year ampuversary with knee surgery on 9/18/16! MCT recurrence in Dec 2016. Happy & hungry til nearly 14, earning her wings on 7/31/17.

you've really outdone yourself with Izzy's Angel Kisses! Very nice...and looking soooo tasty! But those little pictures....oh my goodness! Smiles and tears! Soooo sweet Amy! That Big Beautiful Bull Dog in the Sky is mighty proud of you!
I really do think that your love and your care helped Izzy best the odds for so long. Just k ow that to be true. It's so clear to us.

I just hijacked Eurydice's post (under Miss Cow's instructions, it must be said) as I wanted to surprise you !
This is me when I was really young, the most beautiful baby ever, ah ?

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)
