AAAANNNNNDDDDD... we went!
Here is the update in a super long blog post http://mom2shel.....-my-heart/ (but lots of cute photos if you just want to scroll to the bottom).
It was happy and sad and joy and grief all in three short days but definitely proud that I was able to face my fears, be brave, be happy and reclaim a place I love so, so much!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Ha ha!!! Also proves true when running ... 🙂 Probably why I have become such a speedy runner in my recent years ... life is tough sometimes and I definitely use "running" as an escape.
Glad you enjoyed the photos! Jasper really is remarkably zen when out of LA! Sadly for her, her life still exists here and will for quite some time but at least we know now that we have Santa Barbara as a refuge again!
