So after my last blog post (https://tinsch......pawds.com/) I was asked about one particular photo of Manni. This one:
It's one of my favorite ones actually. He's on (or off) all four and this captures his personality perfectly. However, this WAS done by a professional photographer but it was really supposed to be a photo session with the HORSE!
My horse Ortega was always one of the very good looking ones, his personality matched Manni's in a lot of ways though. -He was difficult.
During this photoshoot however, Manni did what he always did: he completely stole the show. And while the photographer found my horse difficult to work with he loved how Manni performed for the camera.
Ortega's pics turned out great too though:
And boy am I glad I got those done: Ortega died at the age of twenty in 2015, 4 months before Manni's amputation.
So that's the story of the picture in the blog and yes, there were treats involved...

Guardian of Manni the Wonderdog. -Or was it the other way around?
Osteo and amputation in Dec 2015. Second, inoperable, primary osteosarcoma found in June 2017.
The end of our adventures came Dec 10, 2017. 2 years to the day.

And Ortega... breathtakingly handsome.
I'm sure you have those pictures framed, the photographer that you used is amazingly talented.

Oh good! Thanks for telling us how that came about! I love how Manni did, indeed, steal the show! Clearly he had the photographer eating out of his hand...er..paw!.
And I love that the picture of Ortego (he's stunning) and Manni "compliment" each other in the format the photographer created.....the coloring...the sepia tones....the subtleness...the understatement.
Didn't realize Manni had his amputation wo soon after Ortega crossed over. That was a lot for you to deal with.
I bet their reunion was something to behold!
