Oh yeah, we have such a deep connection - tooth deep ;-). Been bitten (again) while catching him when he was escaped (again), and an ignorant neighbour approached (again) just at the moment I got hold on him. But hey, Freek enjoyed his time outside. It's worth it. So I'm on anti-biotics again.
I'm looking forward to the moment I can let him roam freely. Sad enough that will take time. The part of the wound that was infected is still open. Otherwise I think I would let him go by now.

Well, Freek is fully enjoying his outside life without supervision again. Of course his first adventure was doing the one thing 'I told him' not to do: jumping at the 1,80 m high fence to get to the roof of the neighbours veranda.... But oh, it's just such a great oversight... You can see all the birds fly and neighbour-cats walking strolling around in the back yardens.
And he has already driven his fourlegged look-a-like deep between the ferns - no worries about defending himself...Leaving me confused which cat was staring me in the face out of the ferns... The word copycat has a different meaning now...
He doesn't wear his onesie any longer, wound is fully healed. So the only step to go is getting of the gabapentine. Yay!

King Freek one month after surgery (9-9) in his natural habitat, ready for the audience.
'you may scratch my head now, maybe even pet my belly'.
