Hello all

Jolie seems to be continuing to improve. He is nibbling at his dry food on and off. He tolerates me syringe feeding and IV. He eats 2 or 3 snacks. He tolerates his meds. There has been no vomiting (please please no more of that) His behavior is more relaxed and like he was before cancer invaded our lives.

Mignon is eating a bit more.

jolie and Mignon go in Sunday for followup.  I hope Jolies blood count goes up.

I do so appreciate everyone on here for being so kind and caring

EXCELLENT UPDATE DELIGHTED to see all this. WHOO HOOsmiley_clapsmiley_clapsmiley_clap
Jolie says, what's all the fuss about humans? I'm fine, see. Those Dear boys💝💝,  We are with you and saying the same mantra:📢📢📢 PLEASE PLEASE NO MORE OF THAT!!!!

You have our tripawd power, positivity, and all the goodness and prayers we can send for continued improvement and better blood count,

Tell the vet you would like to always have a supply of anti-nausea meds on hand for Jolie. He will need them on and off with his ckd. (if at all possible) keep some on hand. It's one thing we can do ASAP, and all stay home doing it.

Give them both a smooch for us, please.
((((HUGS)))

EXCELLENT  UPDATE!!!    👏👏👏

One of my favorite parts of your update is that Jolie even seems more relaxed and more comfortable than he did before the surgery.

Of course we hope the check upmis a good one.  Even if the tests don't  show improvement,  OUTWARDLY Jolie IS showing improvement and that's all that matters.

Nothing better than you and the bous being back home together ♥️♥️♥️

Hugs

Hello all

When is the best time to give Cerenia? Before meals? After meals? In the morning? At night?

I gave it to Saxton in the morning. I was never given any instructions on time of day or on empty for a full belly.

What's important is consistency and timing every 24 hours. The time of day doesn't matter if you stick to the repeated time and dose in 24 hours. Pick a time and give again in 24 hours on this round of 4 pills. The cerenia also acts as anti-inflammatory .

When there is active vomiting and it is prescribed, it is given on the spot and then yes again in 24 hours, and usually, for the course of said days.

Love to the boys, please and more crunching sounds boys

hugs

Today was a good  day. Jolie seems to tolerate the cerenia ok and seems to be eating a bit more on his own.i will try to give the cerenia at a consistent time.

Most excellent 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 when we address nausea (even if we humans don't believe we are seeing nausea), yes, they eat;)
That is a Purrfect  example of a nauseated kitty & addressing the nausea and presto they eat.

To repeat myself - the reason we like the zofran/ondan is because it works even better for nausea in cats. You can give it every 8 to 12 hours instead of once every 24 hours. That was our experience and many other kitty owners experience with the zofran.

Cerenia is a fantastic and excellent for puking and stopping it with the bonus of the anti-inflammatory aspect. (ie pain relief) for you boys right now it's platinum !!! IF Mignon is not on Cerenia ask for him as well. One course and I bet he is back to 100%.

Yep Jolie is a miracle kitty with the help of his dad:)

YESSS!!!! The miracles continue with Jolie! smiley4

Nausea is one of the toughest things to recognize in animals. Great job staying on top of it.

Hello Everyone

Jolie and Mignon had their follow-up at the hospital today.  All of Mignon's tests came back normal. So, he will have 5 more days of reduced meds and then he will finish treatment. So, he doesn't have to go back to the hospital.

Jolie's rbc numbers are back up to 36 so he  will stop the iron and have somewhat reduced meds and follow-up on the 12th. His meds are mixed in with Cerenia and I got extra Cerenia separately just in case.

To think of where we were 2 weeks ago.

It was a good day.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers
