My cat, Nubs, is missing her left front leg. She is several years post-amputation, so it's really not much of an issue now. However, the main issue I come across is finding a cat tree for her. I worry about many of them being too steep and causing her to jump up/down and put too strain on her joints once she gets older. I'd really like to find a cat tree that can get her easily up to window height so she can comfortably lay back and watch the world go by. Does anybody know of any cat trees with ramps or less steep climbs? Or have a photo of a homemade one? Thanks!

Hi Nubs and family, welcome! We're so glad you joined us. Just curious, how did she lose her leg?

You ask such a great question, Nubs is a lucky kitty to have such a conscientious human.

As you know cat trees come in all varieties. Here are some ideas from other TriKitty members' blogs. Stay tuned for feedback from others!

Hello and Welcome to you and Nubs,

Love her name by the way:)

There are a lot of cat trees out now for senior kitties that are great for our three-legged kitties. I know 2 years ago we didn't have so many options. This is what we have for Purrkins he is a front leg amputee he loves it he has no problem getting in and out, and we don't have to worry about him.

There are a lot on Amazon same idea. Everyone does things a little different here. I would not own most cats trees in fear of Purrkins getting hurt. That front leg needs to be protected in any way we can now and in the future. Purrkins hops right up and down on this tree. It's high enough to reach any standard size window & I can't say enough on how sturdy it is.

Here are some links to give you an idea.

Search for senior cat trees, and I think you will be surprised.
