Over the last couple day there is some red at the base of the site but it does not seem tender. He does not seem to even notice when…

Hopefully the wound closes up now and this infection is on its way out!

She's currently fast asleep on her incision so she must be comfortable.

Will keep you all updated.

So Holly is now 100% there mentally, she's off opioids now and I feel they didn't agree with her.

The lab test came back as a pseudomonas infection. Vet said these are nasty superbugs??!! And the antibiotics she was on wouldn't do anything. There is a small hole at incision site where…

…who’s been asking -

Saturday we took him back to the vet hospital to be admitted. Today we got back his test results from his culture. His infection is severe, but hopefully treatable.

The antibiotics they put him on over the weekend are the only ones that are not compatible with his type of…

His infection is causing his body to push out the stitches from the amputation so we are waiting a few days to see if the infection clears up, and he will have to…

He’s looking at at least an addition week in

We hope to get his test results back tomorrow to find out what kind of infection he has, and if we can save his life. The vet called today and said he seems more active today and wants to get out of the kennel, which he thinks is

… We were knocked back on our butts when they said that they thought it was cancer. Since we had been in the southwest, they also tested for a fungal infection. …NSAID, I'm glad you chatted with Admin today. Yes, do call the vet and talk about the pain signals
that Jaco is showing.

One more idea: is the incision area oozing? Or warm to the touch? If so, she could have an infection that is causing the lack of appetite. That is also something to bring up

The doctor did say that licking the incision site and surrounding area makes her more prone to infection.  Given the spleen issues, infection is even more serious.  So, we need to be careful.
