…PRT was another option to keep the limb and would conist of 3-5 treatments with 70% of patients lasting 3-6 months.  Additionally biosphosphates (zoledronate) would be also given.  Also there's the risk of pathological fracture.

Both SRT and PRT would alleviate the pain, but we worry that he would use

We have an appointment at UC Davis on Monday, although I am not sure what can be done at this point..maybe a Zoledronate injection?

We can do Palliative radiation, which would help slow down the spread of the cancer. It can be combined with a injectable drug called Zoledronate, which would decrease bone destruction (normally life expectancy is 4 - 6 months).

When you look at the things that have been shown to be effective, carboplatin is a five-star treatment. Zoledronate is a 2 Star Treatment . Metronomic therapy adds to the carboplatin therapy to make it a six or seven star therapy. If given alone, it's a one star

…a fan of  cyber knife.  Simon  had his radiation February 15 16th and 17th. He received his six cancer treatments along with the zoledronate  to firm up the bone  a little bit. I continue to bring him monthly for zoledronate  as it can help a little bit and might have some anticancer

…tried increasing pain meds, acupuncture the day before,  adding a muscle relaxant,  to no avail. She is sailing through chemo. She has been getting zoledronate , we are trying pamidronate next time to see if she fares any better.

…physical activity.   She did receive  chemo,  carboplatin, a few weeks ago and had no side effects that I could detect. Last week she received IV zoledronate (same type of drug as pamidronate ) and was achy and sore for days .

…spoke to my oncologist's vet tech this morning. They have seen  a few dogs have this side effect after zoledronate administration.  Before her next treatment,  I plan on her having acupuncture a day or two before,  as well as whatever else my oncologist

…m not an oncologist but I haven't heard of that type of side effect for Zoledronate. Typically a dog might have GI upset. 

What kind of walks/activity has Spirit been getting lately? She's not that far past surgery so using care

…had 6 zolendronate treatments... I never noticed any symptoms. I will be continue with zoledronate every month as his health stays stable. ( I do have pet insurance that pays 90% of the charge,, so  why not)
