So I ran some urinalysis today, will repeat again tomorrow as it was a mid-day sample so a bit chicken and the egg on whether its an excessive drinking issue or an actual kidney issue. Otherwise, he is doing fantastically. CBC due tomorrow which will give more indication on kidneys but for now I…

…probably less than a month  later that I took her urine back in as I coukd see the color wasn't right.  A UTI showed up then.  So don't know if the excessive drinking was a prelude or not.  The UTI has cleared up, but she still drinks a lpt!

And as far as "paranoid",  tell the Vet that's what we do around here

…and urine all checked out okay.   Then several weeks later it started sgain and with frequent urination...getting up several times during night, excessive drinking, etc.  A raging UTI and crystals.   First roound of a antibiotics cleared the crystals, but still had blood in urine.  Second round of antibiotics

…of that right away given that she was on thyro-tabs. Her dosage had not been adjusted after amputation and led to a buildup which caused the excessive drinking/urination and anxiety. I think that is one of the downsides of having multiple health care providers - sometimes they don't each have complete
