We need a group of at least 10 pawrents from around the world who promise to register as virtual or physical walkers, and commit to raising at least $250 for the group. Can you help?
Many of us have found this community because we’ve been affected by canine cancer. It’s an awful disease, and we want it stopped! This is one easy way we can help make a difference.
Many hugs and congratulations are going out to our friends who hopped along today, in their fight to help cure canine cancer. Lots of you just finished participating in the Morris Animal Foundation K9K Walk to Cure Canine Cancer, in Sacramento, CA.
Whether you walked virtually or were lucky enough to be there, you are making the world a better place for all dogs, by helping to find a cure and stop this awful disease. Thank you so much.
We just heard from our friend Seanne, Wrigley’s Mom, who sent us some lovely photos from the event. Seanne and Wrigley’s surviving sibling, Rookie and his new pal Willow, met up with our friend Montana’s Mom Jeanette. And even our pal Cemil and his mom Mary drove a couple of hours just to be there!
What a great family we have here guys! You are so, so awesome.

Never doubt a dog’s ability to bounce back from the hardest of circumstances. Here’s an incredible rescue story from Humboldt County, California.
My pawrents recently met Lucy, a sweet rescue dog who had a very ruff start in life. But thanks to some incredible people who saved her life, Lucy found a great home, and is now showing the world how awesome life can be on three legs.
We are huge fans of Codie Rae, a spunky girldog from Oakland, California. Ok, not just because we’re a little partial to Shepherds, but also because her story of survival and finding a forever home just brought tears to our eyes when we first heard about her.
Lucky us, we finally got to meet her in Oakland. We tried to get her to slow down and say a few things on camera, but she wouldn’t have it. After all, there were just too many scents to sniff and so much space that needed to be checked out at the dog park!
Codie Rae, brother Smokey, Momma Martha and Daddy Ralph, you guys are awesome!
A while back, my pawrents returned to Humboldt County, where I grew up. They got to see Kathy and Diane, my godmothers who ran Happy Dog, my old daycare and boarding kennel. They knew me since I was a puppy. It was my most favorite place in the world when I lived in Eureka. We sure miss seeing them all the time.
Anyhow, while they were there, Mom and Dad got to meet two awesome Tripawds, Teddy and Lucy. Here’s a movie about Teddy and her life after becoming a tripawd. Teddy actually used to live down the street from me, but we never had the chance to meet. Small world, eh?
Stay tuned for Lucy’s incredible rescue story . . .
