Below is the name of our orthopedic surgeon who I wholeheartedly recommend. Dr.Wood has helped us fix a bad hip replacement in the past so I had no hesitation in driving up (an hour away from our house North of Boston) to Portsmouth when our local vet couldn't find the cause of Auggie's right front leg limp. Dr.Wood is very patient, highly informative and extremely kind. Auggie is having her leg amputated tomorrow and, unlike past experiences with other surgeons, I have no doubt that Dr.Wood has given our case a great deal of attention and his opionion to proceed with the surgery is based solely on what is right for Auggie. Also, he is great at providing referrals to other speciality groups like nuclear imaging/bone scan facilities, nutritionists and holistic vets. Port City Vet Referral has a sister hospital in Woburn MA, Mass Vet Referral Hosp. Also very good, we've dealt with Dr.Karen Pastor who is terrific too.
