This book is one of our all-time favorites. Found another copy at a book sale last week and would like to pass it along to a member. Anyone with a giant breed dog can especially relate. See our Tripawds Amazon blog Review,

I adore this book - read it when it first came out.  It is a little inconsistent - there are some parts of it I found to be a snooze or frankly dull.  But Dante's voice and other animal voices are just superb.  They will resonate.  And some of the very simple and profound joys of living our lives with companion animals are beautifully captured and relayed.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

This pawesome book is still available. I'd love to get it off my tiny RV bookshelf and into a good home. Thanks!
