Hello:

I would like to offer a barely used AST Get A Grip Harness in Size M to someone whose Tripawd may be experiencing some mobility challenges.  We used this for Pofi nearly 6 months post amp when we thought his sudden back legs weakness was due to injury (rather than another nerve sheath tumor now in his spine), and it is incredibly effective for getting a larger dog up and out for potty or up stairs.  It is offered in Pofi's memory and also Bentley's.  We used it for Pofi for about 10 days before when his back legs were still working and even when they stopped.  I washed it and sent it to Karen for Bentley who was having the same problem, but it osteosarcoma had shown up in his spine, too.

Pofi and Bentley were both tall, large handsome Tripawd warriors  - Bentley a Doberman and Pofi a Malamute x Greyhound, so don't let the size "M" fool you - this is for a dog their size or a GSD or Golden Retriever sized dog.  Pofi weighed 75 pounds and when he was still able to use his back legs, I could use this harness alone to support him walking through the house, up and down a few stairs and out to potty and back.

Let me know if this could help your recent Tripawd or any medium to large sized dog with a mobility challenge.  Has the optional removable handles and permanent handles still attached.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

Hi! My Dolly is a ~60 lb lab. I've been looking at these and the ruffwear harness for her. We are still just a few days post-op as a rear amputee. I'm interested in the AST because she has some arthritis and hip dysplasia. If you still have the harness, we would really like to give it a try! If she's not a good candidate for it, we will pass it back along. I'll pay for shipping and whatever costs you may need us to cover.

Thanks!

Katie,

I think this would work very well for Dolly; and Karen and I are both going to be so happy to know she is using it.  I am sending a Private Message to get your address from you.

Please don't worry about the shipping.

Awesome that the harness can help another Tripawd!

I will change the topic title to taken.

Lisa & Pofi/ Karen & Bentley <3

heart

Bentley is our eight year old Doberman, diagnosed 7/13/16 with osteosarcoma tumor on right front leg, became a tripawd on 8/1/2016. His recovery was amazing, he was rockin it on 3! Bentley lost his fight to this nasty cancer when it metastisized into his spine, we had to let him go 11/13/16 exactly 4 months after first diagnosis. He was the perfect best friend, i'll miss him forever. :(
