I didn't get as many pictures as I had planned but thanks to Lori, Deb and Bonnie for letting me steal some of theirs! We started off Saturday evening at the winery and ended up back at Deb's rental house (whoo hoooo). The following day we met back there and headed over to the Greyhounds Rock/Tripawds event. I didn't get pictures of everyone b/c I just kept forgetting to take them (we were having such a good time). I would recommend to everyone to try to have a tripawds event in your area, even if it's only a couple of people...they are so much fun, and for me meeting the ladies who all went through the same thing as me around the same time has healing properties! So without further adieu:

Oh I love this .... I had to keep pushing Jasper away to watch it but I got through it!!!! We are SO coming to the next one! Jasper travels so well and we can't wait ... give us lots of notice so we can plan a looooong weekened if we are flying east!!!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh Elizabeth, this is unbelievably heart-warming and priceless......I was crying at the end. You have an incredible talent for doing this kind of thing with pictures. I unfortunately was guilty of the same thing you mentioned, I was having such a wonderful time, I forget to take as many pics as I would like to, and some of the ones I do take, don't turn out very well.....sigh......Next time I will do so much better.
Thank you for sharing this perfect collection of pics with all of us, and so looking forward to our next party.....just hoping so many more of our friends can join us then.

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Bittersweet tears flowing here. How I wish we could have been there in person. Thank you so much for this wonderful slide show.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Love it!!!! I was crying at the end too lol. I also forgot to take pictures because I was too busy haha. I need to post some of mine soon.

Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)

ELIZABETH!!!!! ELIZABETH!!!!! No words are needed to describe what a Tripawd gathering is like...these PERFECT pictures and PERFECT song say it all!! I'm sorry Elizabeth, but you are so darn good at this you HAVE to be our official photographer for years to come!!! You are .MASTERFUL!! You have such a good eye and are so creative with your editing.
No one understands this journey unless you've been on it...and no one understands the friendships developed unless you've been on it...and no one could ever understand the pool of love you jump into until you go to a pawty of the Tripawd Universe. You are bathed in joy, laughter and love that will stay with you forever.
We are tuly the epitome of a kinship of souls who were meant to join up in our earth clothes. And I believe our dogs, in their "soul state", knew EXACTLY what they were dooing in their earthly journey! They picked us as their humans, and they each of us to travel together side by side in this journey. We've all marveled zt how well our dogs interact. I KNOW they feel the loving energy we have for each other and that transfers to them znd to their special bond they have with each other. And all our dogs who have stepped out of their earth clothes infused us all with their loving energy. Their presence is felt at these pawties like you wouldn't believe! Yep! They are pawtying with us, that's for sure!!!
And ELIZABETH, you captured everything I'm "trying" to say with this sacred and treasured album!!
We love you with all our hearts. This means the world to us! You ARE @ove and light! Everyone their has that light within that makes our community such a kind and giving place.
And Jim, Rene, Wyatt and JERRY...this ripple of love that continues to flow throughout the Universe all started with you and your love and light.

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

Maybe we should tweak the name and call it a Tripawd Healing Pawty, because that's what all these images represent to me . . . the healing of broken hearts.
Harmony became a Tripawd on 10/21/14 (MCT). She left us way too soon on 11/1/14.
