Animal Ark said that video taping anything is fine.  :)

They said that the dogs can be let out in the picnic area there.  :)

They also said they are looking forward to meeting you all as they love animals of course, but they also had a 3 legged mountain lion for 17 years.  :)

Now I have Miles, rottie mix amputee from a shelter and traveled 1500 miles to find his way here through the Rescue Railroad thanks to tripawds.com.  miles.tripawds.com

Sounds great! If they missed Nature's Why We Love Cats and Dogs, Feel free to pass along this link to us featured on PBS with Jerry, so they can "get to know us" even better.

What time are you meeting at the animal park?? I am considering the trip if I can get my dad to watch Tani for me. I am supposed to be off on Friday the 11th but might have to work. How far from Reno? I saw more info somewhere- was it in another topic?

Go to animalark.org — they have directions from Reno.  It looks like it's about 12 mi north, off 395.  I don't think we've set a time yet.  Karen, I hope you and Maggie can go!

I will pass along that link to the Nature video!

We are meeting at noon at the Animal Ark parking lot front entrance.

And as Mary said, directions are on the website.  Let me know if you have any further questions.  :)

Oh you guys, we are so sorry for throwing a wrench into this pawesome plan, but we are leaving our current location early and heading to  California later this week.

So it looks like we won't be able to meet you on the 12th, BUT we could meet you this coming weekend, 12/5. We'll be staying in Petaluma or Santa Rosa, probably Friday night, so if anyone has time, maybe we could meet for a play date on Saturday somewhere?

Ooh, so sorry for messing up this plan!

Well, I'm up for Mill Valley on Saturday the 5th.  I have an early appointment so I'd arrive about noon–anybody else?

Monkey Wrench Thrower!

Ok, we could meet on the 5th. Don't you know our lives revolve around Caira Sue's plans….and her plans revolve around tennis balls…and peanut butter….and I think I'm digressing. Anyway, 12 on the 5th sounds good to us! And if it doesn't snow on the 12th, we'd love to still take Dawn and Raven up on their offer.

Yes, I'm still planning on Reno the 12th, if there's no snow in the forecast.  That's already on the calendar.  Two weekends in a row!! Cemil will be in heaven!

The weather is supposed to be clear this week, you should be fine coming over I-80.  I am in Auburn, you'll be passing through.  Let me know if you want to connect for a quick stop the day you go?  :)

And regarding our Reno meetup…Since all of us are coming from CA…  How many of you would like to just come to my house and save 100 miles?  I have a 1 acre pasture that is fenced, it's as good as any dogpark, but without any other dogs!

And of course there is Raven's friend Billy Bob the bobcat here, no cheetahs though.  But Billy is sometimes up for petting from brave people…

Let me know what you all think.  :)

I think we can make 12:00 this Saturday. Maybe I'll bring Tani too. If she gets too obnoxious I could put her in Mag's stroller and throw a blanket over her!

I'm still contemplating Reno or now maybe Auburn on the 12th- not looking good though, I hate when work interferes with life…

Hey Dawn–Auburn sure beats Reno for easier travelling!  I'd be fine with that.  Maybe we can go see the cheetahs when better weather is more likely.
