Hello to all OC tripawds!  Just wondering if anyone is interested in getting together at Max's favorite beach on Monday, March 9, maybe around 10:00 am or so?  This is Max's favorite beach, and we'll be there peeing on a bunch of sand and kelp (well, Max and Linda will, not John or me!!) and having fun.  It's the Santa Ana River jetty located at the end of Seashore Drive in Newport Beach (page 888E5 in Thomas Bros).  It's not an official dog beach, but it's no illegal to be off-leash there.  Okay, hopefully someone will be able to attend (Max C?  Shadee76?)

Hi Max!!  Awww..Shadow LOVES the beach and the water.   Although he has a little too much fun there, biting at the water and then getting a tummy ache later if I don't watch him closely ..lol.   Unfortunately, my husband and I have to work during the weekdays so we can't make it.  Any plans for a weekend tripawd party?

Unfortunately, Monday is our only mutual day off for the next couple of months; I think after that maybe we'll have someone weekends together.  Perhaps you and your husband won't be feeling well enough to go to work Monday?? Little Devil  We'll be there either way.  If you guys can't make it that day, we'll figure out another day in the near future.

Give Shadow a hug for us, please.  Shadow was the name of our very first dog who died January 20, 2007.  He caught an auto-immune disease (doctors couldn't figure out how), threw a blood clot that landed on his spinal cord, and was paralyzed from the chest down.  We only had him for seven years; Max was depressed for weeks after he was gone.  Shad was taken very well care of those last few days at the same clinic your Shadow has his surgery at (on Edinger by the old Marine base).

Hi guys,

The beach really sounds like fun! I'm Not sure if we can make it on Monday or not, but it might be possible. We actually have the day off (not normally), so we will see if we can squeeze in a trip to the sand. If not, we will definitely try and meet you down there at some point. I have not gone for a swim in the ocean in quite some time and really miss it! Maximutt sure looks like he loves the beach as well!

Cheers,

Max C

Okay, hopefully you can make it!  If not, we'll schedule something up a little later.  I think we'll have weekends off around May or June.  Otherwise, we're generally at the beach Mondays, and sometimes Wednesdays.  Our work schedules aren't "normal," so we don't generally have the same days off as "normal" people Laugh.  Anyway, for anyone who can make it, we'll be there Monday morning.  Wishing everyone well!

Hi Maximutt,

We are not able to make it today, but definitely let us know when you go down on the weekend. May will be here before we know it!

Have fun,

Max

Not a problem.  We were there, but it wasn't a very good beach day; the tide was very high, so there wasn't a lot of beach to play on.  We actually left after about 30 minutes and went to another beach!  Anyway, yes, all the OC Tripawds definitely have to get togehter soon.  I'll post another beach party as soon as our schedule allows for weekends off.
