Dear Pez's family

I am so sorry to hear your news and feel for you. You have done extremely well by Pez since she was first diagnosed for her to get this far, so I hope you know this has been a success story, not a failure (as it can feel at such a time). Good for you to continue to shower so much attention on Pez when other members of your family (your upcoming baby!) must be doing their best to take your attention elsewhere. Pez must feel very well-loved to be able to communicate her needs and have them met despite her immobility. I'm sure your love for her will help guide you through this difficult time.

I'm so sad to hear that Pez is not doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Here is the MRI report:

Site scanned________Cervical Spine (C1-T2)______ [Image Can Not Be Found]

Findings:
Cervical
spinal magnetic resonance imaging (cervical spine MRI) – T2, T1, STIR
and T1 post gadolinium sagittal views were obtained of the cervical
spinal cord. from foramen magnum to the second thoracic spinal segment.
Transverse images of T1 and T2 weighted sequences based on sagittal
images.
There is a large destructive lesion involving the entire
body of C3 causing expansion and destruction – this is causing
compression and deviation of the spinal cord. Following administration
of gadolinium, there is heterogenous enhancement primarily at the edges
of the lesion.

Conclusions:
Destructive and proliferative bony lesion of C3. Likely metastatic osteosarcoma. Non resectable.

We will be taking PEZ in tomorrow morning (12/13/10) and will be saying our good-byes to our beloved baby.

Oh Pez, you have been so brave and your parents love you so much.  It's so hard to say goodbye.  I know Sadie and all the angel tripawds will welcome you to the place where there is no pain, and no cancer.  And Pez's family, know that we are all here for you with sympathetic ears and some understanding of your pain.

Lisa

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us. http://ranger.t.....pawds.com/

I am deeply saddened.  My heart goes out to you guys as you make the adjustment in your lives. You fought a good battle and did all you could for her.

RIP sweet Pez.  Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It sounds like Pez had a wonderful, full life. I know you will miss her so much.

I do know of someone who makes lovely pieces of art that are memorial urns. I have had them made in the past & actually have two, one for my 19y/o cat & one for Isabelle….I didn't want to have to think about it later….I've had the cat's for 8 years now….
She will make a custom design, if you send her pictures of Pez & some info about her. I talked to her about Isabelle & she designed a perfect piece.

I'm at work & on my iPhone now, when I get back to my laptop I'll try to send the sketch.

These are beautiful, thanks for sharing. A selection of elegant pet urns and memorial boxes can also be found on the Tripawds Gifts blog Remembrance page.

No need to apologize for the link you posted, it was automatically truncated and converted to an active hyperlink.
