Hi all:

After a trouble-free surgery and recovery, our girl came home today.

She's already proving that nobody can tell a Malamute what is supposed to be considered 'normal'. Within 15 minutes of being home she performed all her bodily functions, negotiated the two deck steps with flawless three-legged grace and showed momma her neat trick of getting a drink of water with a Elizabethan collar on.

She is has really taken to her new digs, momma made a pen and filled it with her bed, food bowl and favorite toys.  Sister isn't allowed in and it's ALL HERS! She even growled at the shepherd when we came back in from a potty break and the shephered wanted to get into the pen. "Just because I have three legs doesn't been I won't kick your butt!"

She's over here sleeping peacefully now, as long as she behaves she doesn't have to wear her collar.  Probably at bed tonight, I'll be sleeping beside her on the air mattress, but I'm exhausted, so I'll probably be out in two seconds when I slow down tonight.

So, I'm so glad everything is done and we move onto the next step. We (hopefully) will find out next week about the biopsy. Tika's daddy is bouncing off the walls, he wants to know now.

I'm very impressed with the surgical sight, its very neat and minimum bruising. The folks at VSEC have been wonderful and Tika was very comfortable with them.

So, there's the latest update, we are doing great!

I'm so happy the folks at VSEC are being good to you. They really are great people and my greyhounds are all in their blood donor program.
