Thank you Teresa

he is definitely doing a lot better today. He has just had his breakfast and his Metacam and has hopped outside into the rain.

Teddy is always hanging around waiting for food or attention, whichever drops first!!!

Many hugs back to you Teresa and beautiful spirit kisses to Eurydice!! 💖💫🌟💫💖

Good morning Michelle

thank you for keeping us in your prayers my darling! It means a lot! Stewie is snoring away on the floor after his Metacam. He really wasn’t happy this morning when i was giving it to him though... naughty boy got growly with me!!!

But growly means feisty, so i’ll take it!!! He knows i don’t listen to those grumbles anyway!

Hugs to you and your gang.

Petra, Stewie and his rainy day kittens

Petra have you tried just putting it in his food? I believe it has a pretty neutral taste that may not bother him.

Thanks Rene. I tried some this morning and it’s not a bad taste at all! A little sweet actually! I will try squirting it on his food tomorrow. He eats dry kibble.... I will let you know... thank you!

I see an impressive improvement in Stewie this morning! As is his usual self, he hopped on over for his breakfast at 7am and even though he got grumpy with me, he is more himself today! It’s a nasty rainy day, and Stewie doesn’t like the rain, so we probably wont get any videos outside today, but i did get a video of him sucking up for his belly rub... i will post it later on today.

Many appreciative hugs and kisses to you all, Stewie was feeling all the prayers and good wishes! We really do want to thank you all for your continued support for all of us here in the Allen furmily!

Yay for growling, I mean feisty!

The rimadly Tani took was a chew-able tab that I think was liver flavored.  I ground it up and put in her food.  Tani was very easy to pill actually, she took 2 pills a day for most of her life.  Pills come with treats so anything I could put in her meals I did.  Tani NEVER had an issue licking her bowl clean!

Your comment about rain made me think of something else- if he has aches and pains from arthritis or soft tissue injuries then he might be reacting to the weather.  I know I have aching joints in certain weather.

Karen it really is a good point about the wet weather, plus it is still really cool outside. I will definitely keep an eye on the variables that are going on. There are a lot of things to consider I guess! I will keep my pawsitive thoughts in this directionwinker

Petra,

I am so glad Stewie is feeling more like  himself.  I also wondered about cool/damp weather.  All I can say is keep kicking butt Stewie (please take it easy for a few days though smiley)

Just keep on giving him what you are giving him med wise and lots of loving 🙂  I think that helps everyone when we feel a little under the weather.

Sally and Teresa, you are sooooo bloomin sweet! Im so sorry that i didn’t get back to you yesterday, but we had a minor hiccup that turned into WWIII around here!!!

After Stewie had his breakfast yesterday morning, he hopped on over to me, whimpered and put his neck all funky again!!! Of course i freaked out and i was sure that Paul saw it, but he insisted he hadn’t!?! It didn’t last long. He was acting ‘normally’ again in just a few minutes, but i certainly didn’t like the fact that this happened while he was on his meds!

I wanted to go to the vets to have him checked out and Paul didn’t. Now i realize that most of you are probably going to say “that rotten bloody bastard! What is wrong with him?!!” I don’t blame you... from the outside, this would look like a cold hearted and non-caring response, but in truth that couldn’t be further from the truth!!!

This is very difficult for me to write because i am opening up my home and letting you into ‘my boudoir’ so to speak... please bare with us and know that Stewie is being taken care of and is not suffering!

After the remnants of the battlefield had been cleared up, we came to an understanding ... As long as i could maintain comfort levels for Stewie we will continue on as we are. Paul doesn’t want to go and see the new vet, not because of the cost, but because he feels that Dr. Laurie and Dr. Bill gave us the best care and advice with our last consultation. The new vet, although he is sure will be very nice and knowledgeable, there is no doubt that she would need to see him before making any calls. He doesn’t want to put Stewie through that! We know he has an aggressive cancer, but with me constantly talking about it, it hurts him to the ooooomph degree! Can you understand what it is I’m trying to convey? He is praying for many more years, but our reality is going to be something different than that! How long? God knows, i don’t... i hope it is years and we can all say shame on me for saying otherwise... i will look forward to that you guys!!!

Now understand and I’m sure most of you do... i watch Stewie like a hawk! I see EVERTHING right?! Paul doesn’t. Now whether that is because he doesn’t want to always see it...??? I can not make any excuses for him, i just know that in his heart, he knows that Stewie is not hopping as well as he was. He can see that he has slowed down and doesn’t want to go very far, but he also sees a dog who is eating perfectly normally, gets excited about his road trips, runs and bounces after his Hedgies and eats his Bully Sticks like there is no tomorrow! Soooooo........

This is a journey that is full of ups and downs, it is bitter and it is sweet... while Stewie (and Spike for that matter!) is still with us, we need to stay sweet! Life is too short and its all the little things that matter right! Thank you for letting me tell my truth, it is extremely difficult some days, but i realize that others are going through this same damn journey too and are maybe having some troubles along the way... so if it helps to show you that we all have different experiences and sometimes the challenges lay not with the crap 💩 itself, but also with the furmily and their needs and emotions, then “Welcome to my Bloomin’ Bedroom! It Ain’t always Sweet!”

This morning, i am happy to report that Stewie is feeing groovy and has had his breakfast and two pieces of beef jerky! Sheeesssshhh! Talk about being spoilt rotten! He will never lack for Love!

Love and many hugs you guys... Stewie has just burped out a huge thank you and wants you to know that we appreciate all that you support us with!

Petra, Stewie and his bird watching Kittens
