Hi all:

This past Monday, Tika had her 3rd round of chemo and the dreaded Xrays.  She came back lungs clear, excellent blood levels and an A++ from the doctor.  I can't tell you how happy we were. On the 40 minute drive back we kept singing and celebrating and Tika was just hanging out so proud of herself.

After the final chemo on Feb 23rd, we'll check her blood levels again and start her on Metronomic Protocol.  The doc already has us starting with the Pirioxicam.  However, our little brat has decided that she wants to revert to her fussy old cat-like self about eating, so we've held off until she gets over herself. (Piroxicam needs to be taken with food, and our girl has a sensitive stomach for meds as it is). In the past, once she's realized that her token resistance will not result in roasted prime rib landing in her bowl, she gets back to eating normally. (She already has a better diet than we do as it is).

I consider every little victory Tika has to be a victory for all of her tri-pawd pack!  Cheers and happy thoughts to everybody!

Yay, Tika!  That is so wonderful!  Nova got that same good news a few weeks ago so we know the roller coaster you must have been on.  We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
