YAAAAAAAAAY FOR GAINING WEIGHT RUBY GIRL!! 🙂 🙂

Okay Trisha, you need some clear answers before yiu can proceed with anything!   I ccertainly understand why you are confused!!!   We aren't Vets and it's hard for us to understand all the medical mumbo jumbo.

Until you get some answers...And this is just a suggestion....I would hold off doing anything romorrow (as long as nothing is a medical emergency of course).

And your regular Vet, Dr F, may be the best one to discuss some of this with you.

So here are some suggestions:

THE THREE THINGS TO DO FIRST and tell the ER Vet and Dr S you need this done asap so you can decide how tomproceed

  • Have the Surgeon (Dr S) forward Ruby's fike to yiur regukar Vet (Dr F).  Guess faxing is the best way.
  • Have the ER Vet do the same.   Dr F is Ruby's primary Vet so it shouldn't be a problem.
  • Get a determination that waiting a few days before roceeding with ANYTHING, surgery or whatever,

Okay, once you get thise three things done, THEN you can put together your wuestions to Dr S.  based on Dr F's feedbaxk.

TEHN, YOU CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH SOME FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS

...You need to know what you are dealing with.

...You need to know if Ruby is a good candidate at this point for more suregery since she's had soooo many surgeries so close together, had vlood transfusions and in and on!

...Are there anyntests that can be done to make suren"it" hasn't spread anywhere else.  You mentioned she pants a @ot.  Have chest xrays been done?

...At this  point you can discuss "margins", staging, index numbers, etc, the prognosis as far as additional surgery getting rid of the sarcoma, etc.

...Ruby's quality is the most important things, not days on a calendar.  If moving forward with an additional surgery is SAFE and as curative as anything avout this crazy disease could ve, then that's a possible option.   If not dafe, if it doesn't add to her quality or longevity, then you'll must continue to enjoy Ruby as long as she's happy.  And after all this, that firl is still happy!!

Okay, so start with the first three tasks....get the records transferred to your regular Vet.

Does this plan make sense?   Are you able to get those calls made to get the records transferred today?

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!   We are here to help in ANYWAY we can!

Love and hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too

overwhelmed today.  I will try to call Dr. F.  I already called him once today to tell him what is happening.  I'm exhausted physically and mentally.  Part of me just wants to let her stay home with me and not have them touch her anymore.  Then another part says "but wait they are still giving you false hope"  I have to go to work now and I don't know.  I think I'm just going to wait before I take her back to this Vet.  Wait to decide whats best.  Let Ruby be a dog for a weekend and pretend all is well.  I'm broken and this has me beat.  I've even been calling attorneys over it.  Who knows at this point what is right or wrong.  Ruby is eating and drinking, that is all that matters they say.  I hate all of this.

Okay, give yourself a huge eound of applause for being committed to doing what's best for Riby!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 '

It's really hard to step back and put things in hold for a few days...but it REALLY, REALLY SI THE SMART THING TO DO RIGHT NOW!!

As I mentioned above, you WILL need the records sent to Dr F in order for him to give you the best advice. You have EVERY RIGHT to havr access to those records for him......and yiurself

One of the offices is sending records, I can't contact Dr. S until after 2pm to have her send records.  I have a consultation appointment with Dr. F tomorrow at 3pm to ask his help and guidance of what to do at this point.

GOOD TRISH!!!  GOOD JOB!!!  FOR YOUNTO BE AVLE TO MOVE FORWARD IN SPITE OF BEING OVERWHELMED AND EXHAUSTED JUST SHOWS HOW STRONG YOU REALLY ARE!!!

And you can DEFINITELY leave a message for Dr S when she comes in to jave the records faxed asap.  You don't necessarily have ro talk directly with her.  Just thinking that could delay getting the records transferred.

Sooooo glad Dr F is going to meet with you AND Ruby!

One thing that may be helpful that some of us do...VIDEO the meeting!   That waynyou can review everything calmly and focused when you get home!

I just found another hard lump on her back between her shoulder blades.  Not hot, just hard and about the side of ping pong ball.

We'll be strong for you, okay?  Go ahead a crumble and we'll pick you up!

Any one of us would have crumbled and cried hysterically nonstop if we'd gone through what you jave!   So vent and scream and cry...we get it!!   But we'll still be right by your side holding you up!

You're gonna feel so much better after talking to Dr F.   Remember to video it!

Now give that sweet Ruby a hug from a place of strength and confidence!!!   Watch her tail wag! 🙂 🙂 🙂

PS.  You may not  need to, but INSIST that Ruby's records get transferred from Dr S.
