First, I'm not sure that this is the right forum, if not I apologize.

Second, I am sure I am going to be totally frustrated by the answers to this question, but just wondered:

could those of you who have had vinblastine treatments just write a quick reply re cost/week or cost/treatment?  I am curious – I know I'm paying more due to location (NYC) but curious as to how much more.

Not that I'm going to stop doing it.  Just wondering.

No apologies necessary, we put it in this "treatment & recovery forum" instead. I'll put a call out in Facebook too, so you can get lots of comparison #s.

We did vinblastine for Skyler weekly for eight weeks. I believe we paid approx. $180 each time. I'll check our receipts when I get home and will let you know for certain then.
She did very well on it, with no side effects. The bad news is the cancer spread (she had a mast cell tumor). We knew it was a long shot based on the grade/stage she was when her rear leg was amputated. Hope you have lots of success with it for your pup.

I was correct. It included tests that had to be done each week too.

In 2009, the total for each visit was between $250 – $280 (exam, CBC, blood draw, and cerenia/metronidazole).

In 2011, I paid about $325 – $350 per visit for the same dosage. Both specialists were in the Seattle/Tacoma metro area.

In the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006/2007 total for each visit was $190 to $200  including the exam, blood wk, etc.

The cost for the Vinblastine itself was around $ 40 per dose.

Maggie weighed 17.5 lbs as was given 1 mg per treatment.
