Here's a small update on Max.  He finished his chemotherapy yesterday (6th round of carboplatin) and had his lung x-rays, which came up CLEAR!!!!Smile The doctor told us that if Max has any cancer in him right now, it is "microscopic."  What he is suggesting now is x-rays monthly for a little bit, and if they continue to show clear, then bump them back to every 2 or 3 months.  However, my husband and I aren't the "wait and see what happens" type of people, so we are looking into the possibility of the metronomic protocol.  Our doctor is going to look at all of Max's records and get back to us in a week or so to see if it's a good idea for him.  Just wanted to give everyone an update on our boy, and we hope everyone and their babies are doing well.

We are all celebrating the great new regarding Max. It is very important for those who are starting down this journey to hear of such success stories. I know personally that such successes have helped me during our journey. Keep us all posted about the additional treatments. Great update for Max.  He and Trouble are just about at the same stage.  She finished her chemo on 3/6 and is going in for a checkup on Friday, when I think they will do her first post chemo chest films.  we, too, are waiting for vet's guidance on metronimics, diet, and supplements.  Hopefully, we will have that info Friday as well.

My heart does a happy dance each time I see a great update here. Keep up the great work guys.

Yay!!!!!  I'm so glad to hear Max is doing so well!  Isn't that the best feeling? 🙂  After we had more x-rays done on Smokey and it didn't show any cancer cells that was just the best news to hear... we're getting ready for another checkup in May and another vaccine shot... he's been gaining weight though so we're back on a diet but I'm hoping that his weight gain is a very good sign.

Smokey sends Max slobbery kisses of congrats!
