Wondering what others think of zolendronate?  I've been gently pushing my onco rad vet to give simon these treatments every month or together with the carboplatin chemo doses, and he has recd 6 doses so far..,, The chemo is done and soon we start metronomics …  I want to continue with the zolendronate monthly,,, It will be fine with my onco rad vet...  My onco vet that has the vaccine trial isn't the biggest fan as she hasn't seen much success . She mentioned she noticed a marked thickness on one of her dogs. but she isn't using this...  Zolendronate has a small risk of side effects.... I think because simon plays so hard that this can benefit the weakening of the area that the cyberknife radiation caused..   thoughts?   I read that dogs can stay on this indefinitely  and that it might kill cancer cells locally and prevent mets to other areas,, ( tripawds june 29, 2010 biophosphates;)   any data from 2018 to prove or disprove this?

The only time I've seen members use zoledronate on a regular basis was for palliative care when amputation was not an option. I am not aware of any more recent studies. Your oncologist may know (and if so, let us know what you find out).
