Strong doggie indeed! And Liam is surrounded by strong humans and a strong pack and a huge Tripawd Family always cheering for him! 'Oh, and let us not forget all the Guardians he has watching over him from the Bridge!

You have certainly had your share of ...hmm..."challenges" this past year....the fire, the health issues, etc. Hopefully you can get a break!

The good nees is that Liam IS feeling good, IS enjoying the bliss of the moment and, of course, doesn't give a rip about any ole phoma- schoma "diagnosis"!

Paws crossed for some good action plans. As always, make everyday count, just like you do with all your dogs and their days!

Love to all

Prayers for Liam that it isn't lymphoma.  He just can not catch any luck.  Such a sweet boy.

Keeping you in our thoughts.

Kathi and the Turbotail April Angel...and the Labradork

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Well, we have a confirmed lymphoma diagnosis for Liam.  🙁 Going over options with the oncologist, but none of them sound great.  Stupid cancer.  (Pack mama is feeling frustrated and grumpy.)

Nothing about this bleepin disease is "fair", that's for sure! How many times do you and your pack have rro keep getting hit with bad luck? And Liam, three times now? Speechless! I'm so sorry you are dealing with this.

Unfortunately you know the drill all too well...yeah, the Be More Dog part, which is probably a little hard ro do right now. Maybe put that off for an hour or so and just fo outside and scream so emuch obscenities at this piece of poopicon_png disease. If it's raining, do it inside!

Always hold onto the fact that "Monster Dog" IS feeling good and is blissfully unaware of any "diagnosis". And Liam has proven many times over he is one tuff guy!

We're here with you...and FOR you! Rely on our strength on days you can't find yours, okay? . We're definitely on TEAM LIAM!

Lots of love!

Ohhhhhh darnit! I'm so sorry! This is just not right and I'm really, really sorry. What kinds of options did the vet tell you about?

If it's any consolation at all, I think I've read that lymphoma is relatively manageable over the long term. I hope that's the case.

Sending lots of love to Mr. Liam, you and the pack.

Well, day 1 of treatment in the books, so far, so good.  Ironically, we started treatment for Liam's lymphoma on the same day that Dave is celebrating his 25th year lymphoma-free....

We decided to go with a conservative predisone protocol.  There are chemo treatments available, and apparently lymphoma is fairly responsive to them, but given the multiple trips to the vet, his age, and the fact that we will spend half a year in a place without the ability to keep chemo treatment up, we felt this was the best choice for Liam.  Who knows?  Maybe we will have another success like we did with Bucky hound and Liam will continue to live a long and happy monster dog life!

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and reminders that from Liam's view, life is good. The sun is shining, and there is stuff to dig up and roll in and bark at and scratch, and dinner happens regularly.

The prognosis is an "average" of 1-2 months; however we are rarely "average".  Here's hoping!

Absolutely! There is NOTHING "average"' about your pack and that, for once, works in your favor!

So, to the vets who are talking terms of "averages", guess what? LIAM ISN'T LISTENING! He's too busy being Liam the best ever Monster Dog!clap

Sending lots of love

TC, could you possibly see if maybe like a Metronomic Therapy would work for Lymphoma.  I know with going to Alaska that it may not be feasible but just a suggestion if you wanted to try a Chemo.  I am hoping all this works for you guys & Liam.  Our prayers are with you all.  Maybe a good sign that you started this treatment on Dave's 25 years lymphoma free.

Good thought Michelle.  We used the low-dose oral drugs for Cali, but from talking to the oncologists, they both wanted to do straight up IV drugs for Liam.  And, now that we started the pred, my understanding is that chemo is no longer an option at this point.  But good vibes and positive thoughts go a long, long way! 🙂

One of the things we love about you and the pack most is that you are anything but average. This WILL work in your favor no matter what!

"Prognosis? What's that?" Liam says. He's just lovin' life as always.

Paws & fingers crossed for a long, long successful road ahead. Keep us posted.

My heart is broken.  I am sorry to have to share that my Monster Puppy, Mr. Liam Bluegrass, Pupperpotumus of the North, Cheerleader of the Pack, Joyful Lover of All Things lost his latest battle with lymphoma yesterday and has gone to join so many other friends on the other side.  With this sad news, we have lost FOUR of our family members in as many months.  I ache for my friends.  I dream about them at night, and wake feeling sad when I see empty dog houses and dog beds.

Fortunately, the pack lifts us up and kisses my tears away with their special love and silly antics.

I feel like I let everyone down.

Heartbroken and sad pack mama.

Oh nooooo ...my heart is with you right now ...

No matter how many times we have to say goodbye to our best friends it never makes it easier ...

Each of our best friends is unique and can never be replaced.

I, like you, have lost many furry friends and we never ever will get over the pain ... except life moves on.

We will never, ever, forget them, there is a corner of our hearts that belongs to each of them and can never be replaced.

Memories are there for ever.

Our last hope is they will be right there when we go to the other side. I am sure they will, if they can.

And for now rest assure Liam is shinning bright in the sky, the brightest star and he will be watching over you.

I mean it !

My heart is right there with yours, sending you all my love heartheartheart
