OfflineHi All,
Well, tomorrow, Friday, Kona has her 3rd and final chemo (YEA YEA YEA !!!) in the series.
We're looking forward to just getting on with life, you know? And not have to think about all of "this" all of the time. Just enjoy our time, which we hope is long and happy.
She's been doing well. Good appetite (always) and and getting stronger each day.
Also, yes, shes' back to her devilish self for sure!
Stealing toys from her pup siblings (adopted) at each opportunity. She's like a shark……just watching and when the timing is right, she strikes! Diving in and taking whatever toy the others want.
Ahhhhh, it's so good to have that pup back.
And, I hope for a long time.
Will let you all know how tomorrow goes.
I know I always say this, but you, my tripawd friends, help me through all of this so much.
Thank you!
Denise
What wonderful news that Kona is back to being her devilish self. Wishing you all the best on your final chemo. My thoughts will be with you.

OfflineThe devilish pup! I love that! Glad to hear she is doing so well and is beginning to terrorize the rest of the pack. Gotta keep them in line somehow! Good thoughts for #3 today, I know it is probabably routine by now, but it never hurts to have good thoughts coming your way ;)

Thanks for putting the smile on my face. Kona reminds me of Chloe (THE toy hog of all time). Great to hear that Kona is doing so well. I say it's a cause to celebrate! Ice cream for all pups and pawrents!!!
Tails are wagging really hard today, and it's Friday!

OfflineThanks everyone !
Today went really well.
We had a meeting with our doctor and treatment is now done. We are moving forward back to our lives, hoping to get lucky and lots and lots of wonderful, healthy times.
We had stopped at Jack in the Box before picking up Kona and saved her some meat/cheese. She wasn't in my SUV for 5 seconds before she was, in a direct manner, shall we say, (firm paw presure on me from behind) she WANTED it NOW !!! Needless to say, we gave it to her ASAP !
Then, during the drive home, she said that she had to go potty….yes, NOW………….so, we stopped at a park's parking lot, and she was quite excited….because as I was getting her out……ok, she climbed into the front driver's seat and wanted me to let her out…as I'm helping her out (wearing her Ruff Wear Harness) she spies this pile of horse poop just past my door……..ahhhh, a delicacy!
Yuck!
I grabbed her back just in time…….hmmm, maybe a lil tiny sample of it……..so gross……..Kona, of course, was so pleased with herself.
We walked around for a bit and she had a wonderful time. Then, we drove home and were greeted by Bella and Cotton, our other two pups.
Goodies, hugs, playing in the backyard. It's all good, my friends.
will keep you all updated.
Have a wonderful HEALTHY weekend ++++++

Yay, Kona! Keep smiling, and eating (or trying to eat) horse poop! And, stealing your siblings' toys! Sounds like a recipe for a happy day indeed! At least that's what Zuzu thinks a happy day is!

OfflineThank you all!
Yes, Kona has always been a 'challenge'. ahem…….understatement.
With cattledogs, they have to learn to control the 'dingo within'.
With our first cattledog, that took a year to control that wild side.
With Kona, welll, ummmm, it took a good 2 yrs. And, even now, at 9yrs, she's still a handful. We discovered that there is a BIG difference between the 'companion' cattledog, and the 'working' cattledog. We actually adopted Kona from a cattle ranch. Her mother was brought over from Australia. And, it turns out that they're bigger in Australia too. Where the Americanized Aussie females are supposed to be 35-45lbs, she's 63lb (now….trimmed). Big powerful girl.
We love her. She's our devil girl
