Kenmore and Neoplasene

Sorry we haven't been around lately. Kenmore is fine. He started the Neoplasene protocol Saturday 12/11.

Neoplasene is a plant alkaloid formulated by Dr Fox of Buck Mountain Botanicals in Colorado. There's a website if you need more information.

His dosage is 3cc/1.5 cans of meaty food (Verus Chicken & Rice) for breakfast and dinner. The Neoplasene is supposed to make him vomit- but we have no vomiting! We have Reglin (sp?) if we need it…..not yet! In fact, Dr W-J called Dr Fox and we were given approval to give Kenmore snacks! (usually restricted on the Neoplasene).

Our vet (Eastern Animal Hospital) had a 3/4 full bottle donated back to them from a Good Sanitarian, so they donated the bottle to us! (thank you!). It will usually be $300/bottle/month. This is our choice for treatment as an alternative to chemo or radiation. Kenmore will need to be on Neoplasene for the rest of his life.

Kenmore's  undercoat has grown in- and we are waiting for the longer softer hairs to come in.He's been wearing his red & green shirts and getting ready to visit his Canadian family for Christmas!

Bless all of you, Pawrents, Tripawds & Monkeybutts too! We have been given the best gift of all, our Kenmore.

I'm so glad to hear that Kenmore is doing so well with the new therapy. And to get your first round donated, that's a great Christmas present huh?  Oh yeah, and snacks too? Way to go Kenmore!  We wish you a very Happy and Blessed Christmas!

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us. http://ranger.t.....pawds.com/

Kenmore is doing great! He is more is old self now. He was able to "puppy run" in the snow in Montreal over the Christmas holidays. We are almsot done the donated bottle of Neoplasene- so we will order another to continue the protocol. We actually found a stitch that was forgotten so we are going to get that removed tonight. (Husband too squeamish to allow any of us to do it).

As we say goodbye to this year and look forward to 2011, we wish you peace, love & hapineess & wet noses!

We're so happy that Kenmore is doing great!  And so relieved to hear that he's doing well on the Neoplasene – we'll need to look that one up since we're not familiar with it.  Yay for puppy running in the snow!!  Yay for Kenmore!

Here's to a happy 2011 for you!

Hugs,

Just an update….

Kenmore has been on the Neoplasene protocol for 1 month today, his 2 month ampuversary was Sunday! So far, everything is good. He has not experienced any vomiting or stomach upset (thankfully) at all & poop is normal. We feed him 1 can of Wellness (stew- Beff, Lamb or Chicken) in the am with his 3 ml of Neoplasene and 1 Proviable cap. (probiotic). One of us needs to stand guard so the cats dont try to stick their heads in Kenmore's bowl and eat any. Then there's a scope of vanilla ice cream to follow. In the evening , 12 hours later, we give him a can of Verus (holistic meaty food) with the 3ml of Neoplasene then his dessert ,of course. We have been limiting snacks- so he keeps his appetite for his meals. Ocassionally we add some veggies or ground beef or chicken. He weighs 94 pounds as of the end of December.

We ordered a new bottle at $287.00. (info only) It's worth it.

Is the Neoplasene helping? I dont know, but it was our choice not to pursue chemo or radiation. I am thankful for every day- every minute we have with him.   He's been camping twice since his amp & also to visit family in Canada.  He's the same dog- just cheated out of a leg by cancer.

Everyday is a doggie love-fest at our house.

Congrats Kenmore on you ampuversary!  Sounds like you're livin' large (yummy food, deserts, camping) I'm sure you don't even notice the medicine.  I really hope for your continued success and good health. Soinds like you're on a good path!

Hugs and sloppy Ranger and Spirit Sadie kisses,

Glad Kenmore is doing well.  Our Golden, Scout, started on Neoplasene about 2 weeks ago.  No stomach troubles for Scout either.  Our vet has him eating 3/4 cup ground meat (beef or turkey), 1/3 cup rice, and 1/3 cup steamed broccoli or other green veg twice a day.  He takes 1 ml neoplasene with each meal.  Scout's 1 month ampuversary was Feb 11 and, like Kenmore, he is loving life (and playing in the snow).  Our walks are just a lot faster and shorter now.  We got the neoplasene from our vet for $250 (we live in Oklahoma), but a bottle should last us about 3 months– Scout was 84 lbs with 4 legs.  It will be interesting to see how Kenmore and Scout do on the Neoplasene– fingers crossed!

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011 Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011.  Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs.  If love alone could have saved you…
