I'm behind the times as usual but so happy to hear that beautiful Miss Cow simply had too much fun. I have to admit that my eyes got a bit watery reading the lashing you gave yourself, Teresa. I know that move all too well - and I think most of us here do - but I promise you, that gorgeous girl is so well loved and cared for by you so please try to remember it.

I will also confess that I long ago had to stop reading your posts in front of Izzy after I found a tiny suitcase with her sweaters packed in it and a sign reading "Europe or bust!" Not entirely sure how she intended to hold the sign and thumb a ride (she doesn't get the ocean part, I'm guessing) but how's that for loyalty? In the sarcastic words of Charlie Brown, "Man's best friend ..." laughing

Keep us updated on Miss Cow's paw-gress! Izzy will have some turkey in a show of solidarity for healing!

So glad to hear she should be okay and just overdid it!  You are a great mom and your loyalty to Miss Cow and her care is amazing!

I'm going the holistic route also.  Acupuncture and treatment from Dr. Loops.

Otis - 121 lbs pre amp - 114 lbs post amp and now 118 lb Great Dane - English Mastiff X.  Started limping on 12/24/16.  Diagnosed with Osteosarcoma 12/28/16 - amputation of front left leg on 1/6/17.  Stitches out and 1st round of Chemo on 1/19/17.   2nd round of Carboplatin on 2/10/17 - 3rd round on 3/2/2017.  4th round was scheduled for 3/22/17 - however due to low WBC postponed - 4th Chemo completed on 3/28/17.  Had breathing difficulties, stayed in Tufts ICU overnight.  Due for 2 more rounds of Chemo but we are opting to go with homeopathy with Dr. Loops instead.

Hey everybody 💞💞💞

Thank you so much for your kind words 💕 and super encouragement, all of you are truly marvellous, caring, loving and adorable people and I am so blessed to have "met" you albeit through sad circumstances ...

I SO loved Sally's extra smiley face 😍 and super groovy Miss Cow's over the moon drawing 🐮🌛

As for my girl, she is super excited at the prospect Izzy is moving in with us, or at the very least visiting 🎒👍🏽

It is wise Izzy brings along some of her famous super cool sweaters, Eurydice sweaters (if she had any) would be big enough for Izzy and all of her friends together 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Good to know some of you are following the holistic route, we really have to adapt during this crazy journey ... and hope for the best 🌻

We are taking it easy for now, Eurydice is snoring away holding one of auntie Kerren's Pedro the penguins after a lovely afternoon at the beach ⛱

Sending you all a super avalanche 🌬🌬🌬🌬🌬of kisses 😘😘😘😘😘 and cuddles to all of your sweet dawgies and kitties plus slobbery kisses from you know who ☺️

Eurydice 77kg/170lb Great Dane limping end of April 2016, amputation (right front leg/osteosarcoma) 4 May 2016 6 courses of carboplatin followed by metronomic therapy, lung mets found 30 Nov 2016. 3 courses of doxorubicin, PET scan 26 Jan 2017 showed more mets so stopped chemo. Holistic route April 2017. Lung X-ray 5 May 2017 showed several tennis ball size mets, started cortisone and diuretics. Miss Cow earned her XXL silver wings 12 June 2017, 13 months and 1 week after amputation and 6 1/2 months after lung mets, she was the goofiest dawg ever and is now happily flying from cloud to cloud woof woofing away :-)

Dearest Teresa and Missy Cow, I'm so sorry to hear of the newest development with the inflamed wrist. Did they tell you that ice helps swelling? My physiotherapist puts cold packs on my swollen joints and a heat pack on my belly (just because that feels good). I'm sure Eurydice will appreciate any attention she gets.

Since Eurydice will get as much protein as she wants, I prescribe as many delicious French pastries as you want. So what if you gain weight - that will dealt with later. Eurydice wants a dining partner.

I love Clare's over the moon drawing. It's so perfect for Eurydice. As for me, I'll wish upon a star that you and Eurydice spend many more days on the beach meeting new friends. superstar

Like all the others I'm so thrilled to hear our Eurydice just had TOO good of a time.  Miss Cow no more overdoing it ok?  Just take a nap and dream of all those steaks, and chicken, and turkey, and ham that are coming your way.  You Miss Cow have earned every single bite!  Love and huge hugs sent to Mom and our Ambassador of Love!

Little update on miss cow here 🐮

Today's blood test was "just perfect" whooooooohoooo 🎉🎉🎉

Urine test tomorrow morning just to be sure to be sure but vet doesn't expect any infection to be lingering anymore 🎉🎉

Also, it was her first appointment with her osteo, he realigned her spine, did acunpuncture and B12 vitamin injections over the acunpuncture points 💉

This was all new to us, I have to say she looked like an oversized cross between a porcupine and a fresian cow 📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌

He said her energy is just fantastic and she moves astounishingly well 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 so I am a proud Momma 💕 💁🏻💕

We scheduled weekly sessions for the next 3 weeks and then he thinks we can reduce them to once every 4-6 weeks.

Now this IS amazing, here we are, making plans BEYOND the life expectancy which was foreseen for my girl (in 2 weeks we will reach the 12 months amputation mark and the 5 months lung mets mark)

She is now having a good old snooze and I've been staring at her with a huge smile for the past half and hour 😊

We are happy bunnies 💕 🐰🐰💕

Sending you all an a avalanche of kisses and slobbery kisses from miss cow 😘😘😘🐮💕

I would love to hear more about your "holistic experiences", by the way.

Oh, and Manni wants me to let you know that if you're all happy bunnies now, he would Luuuuuuv heartto meet you... 🙂

Hey Holly and Purkins 🦋🐱

SO lovely to hear your comments, I keep telling Mom I ain't going nowhere soon but she prefers to stay cautiously optimistic, well, after all she is human, right ?

We dawgs and cats know better, don't you agree Purkins?

As for the pictures, sadly we have none because Mom was busy making sure I didn't move whilst all the action was taking place 📌📌📌📌💉

But maybe when I'm more used to it she'll be able to ...

Hey Tina and Manni 🐝🐶

Ahaaaaa !!!

If Manni and Meg are coming I'll make sure there's some real rabbits around for all of us to chase together 🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰🐰

My new holistic treatment consists of daily Vita-marine pills which are packed with vitamins, phytonutrients, minerals and enzymes (I started that 3 weeks ago) and I'll be doing acunpuncture once a week for the next 3 weeks 📌📌📌📌

I am not sure if I'll have B12 injections every week (certainly did NOT like that 😡😡😡) and I may or may not have osteo manipulation every week too.

My new friend told Mom he will decide exactly what to do once he sees me (apart from acupuncture)

I felt totally relaxed the whole afternoon so Mom has been grinning all day long ☺️

I am sure she is happy with this new direction, having gone for heavy drugs until that was no longer helping.

She is very pleased with the first course of action as she is convinced chemo was the thing that probably got me this far but she is also very pleased we are following a different route from now on.

Is Manni having holistic treatments too?

Sending you and your cuties tons of slobbery kisses and lots of hugs from Mom 😘😘😘💕🐱💕🐶💕🐮💕

Hey, sweet cow! 🐮 😘

Manni just got needles stuck in him too. But only two, though. To get his muscles to loosen up a little. Aaand because his personal physio had a sore hand from too many treatments and couldn't give massages (ooopsie!). He has been getting Traumeel and Zeel ever since his amp which is homeopathic and for pain and inflammation. I never know if that helps or not but I guess it won't hurt. Those two are reaaallly popular here. He's also been on apocaps and k9 immunity (so I guess it's a little like your phytonutrients and vitamins I suppose). I've also heard good things about those mushroom thingys  🍄 So maybe that's something for you, too?

I have lately been wondering what our course of action will be in the event of mets and so far I'm none the wiser.

My sweetest Friesian: I would love to give you a big smooch on your gorgeous head but since it's hard to do digitally you'll have to make do with this: 😘😘😘😍❤️🍀☀️

Keep us up to date with your amazing life

love

tina & Manni

Hey Tina and Manni 💕🐶

Well, Manni was lucky, I had at least ten needles 📌📌📌 stuck all over me and then this crazy lunatic got something stuck on top of 4 of them and set it on fire 💥

He explained to Mom it was some sort of mineral which would work on different parts of my internal organs through the needles but Mom being Mom replied to him this was certainly a Cirque du Soleil number 🎪

I can state I was a bit suspicious of the whole thing and if it wasn't for Mom being there I would have passed 😏

We were told about the Japanese (?) mushrooms 🍄 they are horrendously expensive for a dawg my size 💰💰💰💰...

Not that that would stop Mom, of course.

But it seems it is a bit "experimental" still whilst these pills I am taking have been used with tons of dawgs here 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

And, for a change, it is really cheap, about 36 euros per month, Mom couldn't believe it 😊

No idea about Traumeel and Zeel, I'm sure if they are available here they'll be sold under a different name.

Anyway, sweet Tina, concerning lung mets all I can say is we found it November 30th so it's been almost 5 months and I feel no different 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I am totally full of energy, yes, we did try doxorubicin and I had 3 sessions of that but it didn't help, in the meantime I've been as happy as a clam 🎊🎊🎊

Maybe part of the secret here is to be deliriously happy and let our Moms surprise us every day with fun things to do, inside or outside 😉

We'll sure be keeping you up to date with my progress so maybe that can be of use to my pal Manni 😎

Sendjng you lots of slobber and tons of hugs from Mommy 😘😘😘💕🐶💕🐮💕

Darling auntie Sally 🦋

You've nailed it 📌🔨🔨!

When Mom and I were living in the English countryside in Wiltshire there were tons and tons of cows around us 🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮🐮

And every time we would approach the fields they would all come and mooooooo looking at me in a funny manner just like saying "she looks like us but there is something funny about this cow"

I suppose they could be mistaken for an harlequin Dane 😂😂😂 i.e. ME 🐮

Yeah, I am trying to explain to Mom life is too good to leave so soon but she won't fully listen ❌👂🏼

Maybe you could have a word with Mom on my behalf ???

Sending you lots and lots of slobber (I know of all humans you will LOVE slobber having been owned by Happy Hannah and now sweet Myrtle) and lots of hugs from my Momma 😘😘😘💕🐶💕🐶💕🐶
