Hey, everyone-
I finally got my biopsy results and it is osteosarcoma. I'll be starting my chemo on Monday and am staying really positive. I just got my staples out and started on some Innova Evo and supplements, so I am feeling great! Pretty soon I'm gonna tackle those stairs again in my new Ruffwear harness (the red color really makes me look handsome. . . . 🙂 Thanks for all your support, and I send mine out to all the other dogs who are (think disco) stayin' alive, stayin' alive! Go Tripawds!!!!

p.s. I'm feeling so good that I forgot to ask something. What's the best thing to do for my remaining elbow? It's getting kind of rubbed raw from doing so much work. Is there a really super salve out there I should know about? Thanks, again!
Nancy,
Bag Balm is a really good salve. All the racing kennels keep it on hand & it's a staple in my greyhound's emergency backpack too.
I'll be thinking of Blackjack when I light my daily candle in hopes that his chemo goes uneventful!!

Blackjack, you have a wonderful attitude! We are sorry to hear that the results say "osteosarcoma," but are glad to see your outlook is so happy and positive! That kind of good energy will go a long, long way.
Calamity's suggestion to use Bag Balm is a great place to start!
But if that doesn't help, we've seen these DoggLeggs elbow jackets that seem to do the trick too. Also, there's this company in Denver that makes custom orthotic braces, they might be able to help too. Whatever you do, take good care of that tender spot, as they can be a real pain sometimes.
Let us know how your treatment goes tomorrow, we'll be thinking of you. Also, remember that my oncologist, Dr. Mullins, will do a live chat on our Forums on Tuesday, December 2nd at 5pm Pacific, 8pm Eastern.
Good luck Blackjack!
